I don’t think Taira noticed that Azuma was sad they wouldn’t see each other, but in his mind he assumed they’d still be hanging out after school and at other times. He thought she was thinking the same thing so he was surprised. Taira overthinks when it comes to thinking about ways he could be bothering someone, and underthinks when it comes to how important he is to his friends and Azuma.

Ok second part of what I added in the last ep! So in this episode we see more of those dynamics. Suzuki and Kawasaki already feel like they know each other well because Azuma talks about each of them to the other person so often because she's gotten closer with Suzuki even though they personally haven't really run in the same friend circle. We see Yamada and Taira are hanging out together which it doesn't seem like they'd really done prior to Tani and Suzuki getting together, and now inviting Azuma along as well. The group is forming new pockets of friends as we go! Also even though we didn't get our Gapacho gag this episode, I wanna say in the last few eps we've seen that at this point pretty much everyone in the group has heard of this kid even though outside of Yamada no one really knows who he is or has seen him, but even without much info they all collectively just kinda go, "Oh yeah, Gapacho" lol so in a way he's been accepted into the fold too!

Yeah the undercurrent of the aquarium scene (pardon the pun) was Yamada trying to work up the courage to say “Natsumi” and just ending up going back to Nishi-san

I'm surprised you guys hadn't seen this aquarium! That scene made me really happy. I believe it is the one that isn't too far from Tokyo Skytree (not the one inside) and it really stood out to me because of the spring themed lights and the jellyfish enclosure. It's always so nice seeing places in anime like this that you have been to.

Would we get Ramparts of Ice after Polar opposites? It's from the same author and I've been hearing only good things about it.

I love Taira and Azuma they are low-key my favorite couple but like you guys said they gotta lock in. Also they gotta try and calm down with overthinking every small thing, even though I get why they do I still am like cmonnn😅 But I do like that there flaws are all something that they are aware of and are trying to do better.
