Episode 37 | Navigating Tangier's Medina
Hola amigos and welcome aboard new Winded Voyagers Rob and Antonio.
Winded Voyage has finally made it out of the Med and out into the open ocean. We’re on another continent, in Tangier Morocco! I’ve always been intrigued by Tangier. It’s where spies hid and the beat poets hung out under the influence of altering substances.
Dan and I moored in the port surrounded by local fishermen and gone off to discover the Medina, or old city. As luck would have it, it was raining but we found refuge in a museum and got a look into the long history of the city. There is something really cool about wondering about in a medina. You get lost, discover local treasures, meet people and eventually find your way about the endless labyrinth.
The city is busy building a magnificent marina which is almost finished. It will be a class destination for cruisers and super yachts but it won’t be as authentic and charming as mooring with the fishermen.
Much love and big hugs, Alex.

Definitely gotta get to Tangier soon... Love the music as well.
Yes... do get there! I wish I could have stayed longer. Tangier has so much to offer and the people as well as the were wonderful.
Always feel like we're there with you Alex...Beautiful city .
Glad to hear you feel that way. I wish I could bring everyone along, so I do it the best way I can by having my little camera by my side and putting it all together with the sounds I hear. There is something really wonderful about the prayer calls when your in that kind of environment.
