JURI #1

Does anyone remember YuYu Hakusho? I've been rewatching it, and when I got to the Dark Tournament, Juri's design caught my eye right away. There's something so fun about it, so I've been wanting to draw her for a while. I rarely draw fanart, so this may surprise some of you, especially such a niche character, but I had my heart set on it. I may draw her into some future pieces just to draw her more, in fact.

Drawing fanart is always a little more challenging than my own characters, especially a character I've not drawn before. Adapting that character to my style is almost like doing a new character design. Plus having to do the same with the colors, it isn't easy! I respect the artists that can do lots of fanart and adapt a lot of characters to their style easily. I wonder if they feel the same about OC artists...

Also, incase nobody remembers, her "I don't want to die a virgin" line is from the show! I realize it could look a little odd out of context, but real Yuyu Hakusho fans know.
