When I lift my arms up... 1

Continuing my work on simple backgrounds here. I've been trying to think of it as stylizing backgrounds, both in line and in color, the same way I might characters. That's been a huge help when thinking about it, because you don't always need to capture the exact colors, just what they feel like. Of course, I knew that already, but for some reason never really applied it to backgrounds.

I also kinda like this layout of panels but also some items outside of the panels. I saw this from @hounori on Twitter first. It's just kind of fun!
