There's a whole lot of handwringing going on right now about what is happening with the business of movie theaters, horror's consistent success, and the number of people who were involved in sketch comedy and short films making the leap to feature films. 90% of what's being written and centered in the discussion doesn't take the history of the horror genre into account, because the people writing and driving the conversations never cared enough about horror to learn that history.
