How Wrong Is Too Wrong?
At some point, we have to ask questions about basic skills and efficacy, of people who are given immense privilege and prestige related to public information and public discourse. There is a not insubstantial number of people still working in news, media, our political institutions, who actively tried to downplay the threat of a theocratic fascist movement, and tried to marginalize the people who identified that threat correctly. Do we, as a public, feel they still deserve our attention and consideration, when they have been demonstrated such a catastrophic failure at the skills that are, nominally at least, the basis of the prestige and platforms they are afforded?
