School of Lust v0.3.3 Progress Report #4
Hi everyone!
We'd like to start by apologizing as the new version 0.3.3 update is taking much longer than we anticipated. There goes our planned monthly update streak! (ຶ︵ ຶ) I would like to take this opportunity to explain what has been going on behind the scenes.
The short story is that we're still working on animating the scenes (and after some testing, we decided to revamp the city map).
The long story is that over 6 months ago we hired an animator to help us with the scene animations. I (Lawina) had been doing most of the animations myself up to that point, but I wanted to focus on writing and scripting for School of Lust instead, so she helped me with some of the more time-consuming animations. She was only planned to be with us for a limited time, and she left the team around 2 months ago.
Early December, we hired a new animator to replace her, to work on the scene animations for version 0.3.3 (after the artwork was ready). Unfortunately, that's when all went pear-shaped. Promises were not being kept, until we were left empty handed. It's suffice to say, that he's no longer with us. Fast forward to today, I'm currently re-doing all the new scene animations myself (from scratch).
This is the main reason why the update was delayed. Almost everything else is ready for the update. The only other thing is, that there has been a change of plans for the city map, as we're going to create one map, instead of multiple areas (that we mentioned in our last post), and a few changes are being done to the artwork for the City map, but nothing critical that could delay the update.
I'm doing the best I can to finish the animations and release the new update asap, but alas, the scenes are quite comprehensive, so it's taking more time than usual. Expect the update to release in February. I could post more frequently and show the animation progress, but I don't want to spoil anything.
That said, I'd like to introduce one of our team members, whose been with us since the very beginning. A hard-working team member that we've never mentioned before, and a team member who will (hopefully) be with us permanently, unless either the cat or the dog finally gets a hold of it.
Meet Chinchin, the sexy model that helps us create the perfect poses for each scene. On this picture, Chinchin re-creates the pose for the very first scene of Scarlett, that will be in a future update.
That's a credit card at the bottom right by the way! •ᴗ• Chinchin might not be the tallest, but extremely flexible!
And here's the sketch for Scarlett's upcoming scene, which Chinchin helped perfect. They're like two halves of a whole!

Someone knows how to play school of lust with an android phone?? I'm looking for some app or apk I can use, I'm really addicted and it's hard for me playing with my chic around, so I'd like to play it in my phone
hey, when is the next update? its been a couple of weeks, and though the previous report answered a number of my pressing questions about the infrequent releases, i am wondering if you could give us a heads up on the newest release on the way?
Hey boner games Every time i arrived to the scene to save Flora It crash. Hope it will be fixed on 3.3

Hey Boner Games! I don't know if anyone has reported this yes, but there seems to be a bug with the Violet storyline. I reached the point where I can hire her for the store, but my romance level with her is too low and I can't find any other way to raise it appart from cheating.

The game freezes all the time, it goes like old games when pentium computers began to rule the world and you try to play newest games in your 486... How can I solve this??
Hi APG! Do you have a dedicated and on-board gpu? If yes, try forcing your dedicated gpu when playing the game. If no, the issue will be resolved in the upcoming release. Cheers :)

hello is there any chance i could get a file with some saved files i had to change computer and had no where to store my files
Do you still have the original computer? You could transfer them with a usb
How much longer do we have to wait for the new update ?
A little patience Robin please, i feel the same but they have clearly had employee problems, and when an animator walks out with out making progress it be comes hectic to rework the drawings for us. To state any hunger for games, i recommend comdotgames.com for the mean time

In return for the late update and broken streak, how about all patreons of the $20 and up club to have a custom character (sprite version and no animations) and a quicky quest with a good giggity reward pic? (no animations of course) just a thought....unless there are hundreds of us
i think that they have enough on they're hands at the moment the new update should be more then enough! just my opinion :)
I agree with phlareb above me. And Thank you for the update, it is a #FeelsBadMan moment when shit hits the fan for an already hard working crew. We appreciate you finally reporting in and DO NOT FEEL BAD FOR ANYTHING. You are doing your best with effort and we are happy with that. Again we understand things happen and especially after that, we dont blame anything on you. Please continue the good work and we await your next update. On the side note, Woodrow mentioned dating in the game, i hope that is not a scrapped project and will be implemented in the game (the more things the merrier) but again if you have to push it back to make progress elsewhere then do what must be done, but please dont take away anything or ideas originally thought, simply add to them or change their shape *wink wink -30
Thank you, Sgt! Appreciate the kind words. As I just replied to WG, dating won't be in v0.3.3 unfortunately. It still needs some work, but expect the first one in v0.4. Version 0.3.3 will primarily focus on the "spend time with" event scenes. Regarding rewards, we'd have to reward everyone, and adding that many characters is going to be a bit of a problem =) -Lawina
And that is all we needed to hear. If this entire load is mainly being put onto one person and it was not anticipated to be that way, then delays are a definite and completely understandable. Do not feel afraid in the future to let us know about actual issues behind the scenes. I know it may be freaky and you may think that we won;t think you guys are stable enough to continue, but from many past experiences in things like kickstarter, the best and most trusted companies are the ones who let people know of major issues asap. In short, be Roxley Games (Dice Throne), don't be Steamforged! (Don't even need to explain that one)

We weren't sure either if the new animator was going to make it or not, and after all the broken promises, it was just recently that it became clear to us, that we have a major issue on our hand. That said, we're blessed with having such understanding patrons, like yourself, which motivates us to work even harder =) -Lawina
