School of Lust v0.3 Final Progress Report (September)
Hi everyone!
It's time for yet another progress report on School of Lust, as we're nearing the launch of version 0.3. This should be our final progress report for the new update until the launch.
We've just finished one of the biggest h-scenes so far (no spoilers), and we're currently working on one final task, which is also quite significant (so it could take another week to get to 100%). After we're done with the final task and after we update the counter on the front page to 100%, we will do some final internal testing and deploy the downloads, which could also take a day or two. As promised in our last progress report, the update will release within this month.
Before we begin the final testing phase, we will post another progress report and we'll also post the changelog in advance of the launch (for those of you that are interested to see what exactly was changed/added).
Please note that higher tier patrons will receive access to the "beta" testing first (as per the tier reward). Hmm... Now that I think about it, beta testing is a confusing term, considering the game is still in Alpha. Maybe we should call it a pre-update-launch testing? Someone help me out here =)
We're aware that you guys have been waiting long for this update, so we'll do our best to launch it for all patrons ASAP. It all depends on how many bugs are found during the pre-update-launch testing stage (it doesn't roll off the tongue very well, does it?), and how long it takes us to fix the final (game-breaking) bugs.
That said, we have a tiny request for all of you; Could you please zip your entire /save folder and send it as an attachment over to contact@bonergames.com ? This is entirely optional, and you don't have to do it, but it would help us a lot to determine if there are any backward compatibility issues in version 0.3 (although, we can probably eliminate those issues during the pre-update-launch testing stage).
Lastly, some of you have requested that we post sneak peeks more often, so we'd like to give you a work in progress of one of the most anticipated scenes that we're currently working on (so alas, this one won't make it to the upcoming version 0.3, but it should be in next months' update):
Keep in mind that this is still an early sketch, and it's going to be one of the most sophisticated scenes we've done so far (a LOT of layers!).

I would really like to enjoy and play this game but $10 a month is really make it difficult. How because my allowance for patreon is $10 and this isn’t the only creator I will be subscribed to. What I mean is that I wish you could do a $5 teir too.

Hi Rain! Dating is not yet available in the game. Dating scenes will be added at a later point, as they're what could be considered the "final boss" of the h-scenes. We're planning to make them fully interactive (full mouse controls). Cheers =)

They said that it may take 1 or 2 days more to release the closed-alpha-testing after they complete all the tasks because they need to do the final testings

Hi Rain! I'm not sure what you are referring to with "unlock". Do you mean like unzip the file? If you're on Windows, you can just right click and select "Extract All". If that's not what you meant, can you please elaborate?

Fun fact : you told us both 20 and 10 dollars pledge will have access to the game on September. Problem is : 10$ got the game 2 weeks later and we are the 18 (soon 19) of Septembre. Soooo... ?
10$ get the game when the 20$ finish alpha testing doesnt have to be 2 weeks could be less or more and theyve said its likely to be way less

Overall the system should be kept the same but it could be nice to have a exception in this sircumstance. It seems kind of sad that someone rocking up for the 3+ month update and pledging $20 for one month gets access before the $10 patrons who were there the whole time and have paid $30+ have to wait potentially 4 total months. Obviously those who have pledged $20+ a month are going to be a little bit sad that they are getting exactly the same product that they chose paid for anyway (sarcasm) why cry about a potentiall one off thing that doesnt affect you in the slightest. If anything having more testers for an update of this size would be more benifitial to the bugfixing period.
I think all patreons regardless of how much they pay should get access to the long awaited 0.3 that has been postponed for several months now. Everyone deserves a fair share to see it regardless because of how much they paid because of how much game has been delayed for EVERYONE. After this update is finished then yes all the higher tier patreons should get early access to any updates and pre launch testing. WIth your "promised" monthly updates to the game this should be no problem. and your higher tier patreons would get all the early good stuff before everyone else.
So what you're saying is, the 10$ patrons should get the bug-ridden mess that the 20$ patrons are supposed to sort through because the 10$ patrons didn't want bunches of game breaking bugs in the game they played, even though they didn't pay for it, just because of how long the update took? I think honestly, the size of the update should be even more evidence that we should be waiting for the bug fixes to finish before we get our version. There's probably an absolute shit ton of bugs they have to sort through because of just how much there is.

You use the mirror in your room. You can only change to your alter ego when prompted to. If 'using' your mirror does nothing it means you have to keep progressing in the story until you get an event in the morning.

Hi fisher! 42 Days is when the main story ends in the current release. You can still continue to play using the lever that appears in the bedroom. Cheers =)

Hi AP! Do you think School of Lust needs a walkthrough? The "objectives" on the phone menu should be an indicator on what to do. We've tried to keep things as straightforward as possible. Do you have an example on where you got stuck? Cheers =)

It's clear you guys are working hard. I used to work in art once, crunch time is a killer and it sounds like you're deep in it. Take care of yourselves, I can postpone my fap a few days np.
Come up with a name for the people in that tier rather than trying to rename the alpha updates. So for the peeps paying $20+ a month, they should be called Explorers or something of the like. Perhaps if you wanted to get with some thematic name they could be Deviants (the only thing I could think of that gave of the idea of someone exploring new sexual things.) On another note, you could do something like that for all the tiers, 1-9 (poor onlookers), 10 (Players), 20 (Explorers), 50 (Investors, though that may give off some of the wrong ideas in a more legal aspect.)

Thanks a lot for this report. I haven‘t played for so long I will probably start from the beginning to have the new player experience. As for the testing name thing, maybe call it something like *PURE* testing (*P*re-*U*pdate-*RE*lease) or some other cool acronym. It would add some cool individual and special flavor to it :)
