Work still continues on Purple Mass - Despite the silence!
For those of you wondering, the next WIP-clip will be out on the 16th of August!
I have put off writing this update post, because I feel bad about the amount of time this project is taking to reach completion. Though I'm happy to report that there is still some progress happening every week, I do feel that it should be more than it is.
This project has gone through so many different ideas, rewrites on the script, improvements on the models and the environment, to the point where the original animation had to be redone to meet up with the quality of the continuation. Basically a whole lot of stuff got changed as I went along with making the project, thinking that in the end it was going to be worth it.
Has it been worth it? In some aspects, absolutely. The final product will be a massive improvement of how it was originally going to pan out. However, the thing that is has cost is time and motivation, but it has also created this nagging doubt in my mind that I could still do things better, which in turn hurts the progress.
In the end, I know I need to get over that negative thinking, carry on ahead, and get this done. I refuse to let you people down. You, who have stood by me all this time. Supported me. Given me a career.

Some say that on any given major project there comes a time where there is no other choice than to simply line up the Development-and-Design team and shoot them, and send what you have now to production, in order to ever get the product out! You may be approaching that time?
Yeah, longterm projects can really drain you, and enthusiasm can go away quick. I had a project started in 2022, everything went fine, I was making good progress, but something or another got in the way, stumped me, I don't know. It's still on my shelf, judging me for not continuing it. So I bow to you for still doing this.
Something to worth remembering is that an artist is always their biggest critic. They will always see the flaws and what could have been better. I'd recommend focusing on a singular goal. Improve in one aspect and don't worry about the rest too much
The artist was there when the mistakes were made, so even if they were covered up or redone perfectly, the artist will always remember the mistake.
Hey don’t worry, most can wait. It’s your vision and the fact you constantly think to improve it for us shows you care. We can wait. Also, if to ease people, you can always make other videos until then. Like what you did with the kasumi and infiltration units video. Some decent stuff to keep some people occupied until then. Also, part of that, but if you do recommendations, I do got a video idea if you want to use it. A video involving a futa n7 slayer(the ones from multiplayer, only male, but it’s just the armor you can attach to a female created character.) and a Cerberus phantom(those female ninja looking Cerberus with swords). Captured by the n7 for information, and eventually gets said info. Afterwards she is allowed to terminate her, but the n7 has other plans. through some ‘convincing’ and loving(you know what I mean) turns against Cerberus and joins up with the n7(and also ends up as said n7’s paramour.). Not exactly the most detailed and or promising story for one of your animations, but I thought it would be nice. Not a lot of Cerberus phantoms used in animations, and absolutely none used for the n7 slayer(whether male or not. Btw this isn’t an ask or request, just a possible idea you could use if you ever decide to, or if you ever want to. Still, never worry on your main work, we are all patient, and can wait until you deem it.

This definitely feels like a passion project given the clips that have been shown so far, so take it at your own pace knowing we’ll still be here patiently waiting
I know that feeling. Don't let it get you down, with all the AI stuff coming out now, daily, it's nice to see someone putting in ACTUAL work into a piece.
After all that’s happened the fact that you’re still going needs to be commended. It takes true strength to keep on doing what you do in times like these. Never give up!
Take your time. Can't rush awesome. Plus you have a life that needs living. So far it looks great.
