Save Us, Swiss Spartans

It's the free one!

This week, it’s an all-dessert episode hosted by Alice with Milo and Hussein. We discuss Peter Thiel and his acolytes’ plan to make the drugs Olympics in which you take as many performance enhancers as possible and turn into Kenshiro from Fist of the North Star. However, the real icing on the cake is a Telegraph article that claims Switzerland possesses an eternal martial spirit, but Britain is too woke to have conscription (and not racist enough). It’s an experience.

Since I'm catching up on my backlog and nobody else mentioned it, the "Chinese people mad at a British guy playing a piano" thing was HUGE on reddit, which kinda says it all right away. That said, basically the guy was being an asshole, the Chinese people were also kinda being assholes, and the cop was like "ok cut this shit out everyone" to my understanding of it. Also worth noting that every single dork in the comments was calling the Chinese people CCP, so definitely not any fucked up narrative shit going on there, nope not even a little. It's a non-story that right wing people terrified of Asians all got hard ons over and nobody who has a good soul should care about it.

Drug Olympics but Peter Thiel has to agree to be stabbed in the heart with a hypo full adrenaline like in Pulp Fiction by the most cranked out competitor for the games to start.

Enhanced Olympics would be so fucking fatal and also extremely criminal. Do it at Burning Man.

"Drug Olympics" is a bit I think I've actually come up with while high as shit. It's the kinda thing that falls out of your mouth at 3am after taking an edible.

Wow we got "NFT of Dorian Gray" and "What if Tekken real" in one episode. 😂 An all timer.

I assume the person who got the neuralink is the outlier guy from the experiment who kept pushing the button to get the electric shock and so he'll be fine.

Something worth noting about doping in cycling is that "make an athlete's career last longer" is about 70% of it and the rest is abusive coaches and sponsors. A lot of doping practices are hated by athletes themselves because SO MANY PEOPLE died or got sick in the 90s from the side effects.

Alice mentioning the lack of tunnels connecting China to England brought to mind the Tibetan tunnels from Good Omens (which I only finished very recently, sad to say)

J

Always a good time to read a good book. Sir Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman created something truly special with Good Omens.

Oh, and on the topic of China VS Switzerland. A dude still in "active service" told me they plan the exercises when there is a window in the chinese spy satelite network. Which... I mean... Maybe they know where our missing leopard tanks are...

Oh guys, since we mentioned Switzerland in this episode. You missed the insanity of our centrist newspapers at the start of the Ukraine invasion. They said how 'we' would need to increase the swiss armed forces. Because what if russia invades Switzerland... I mean... If they fucking did roll over all of europe, a few more hazed twenty year olds is certainly what turns the tide of battle. They would go "oh no, not the swiss. Let us go around and take france. They are a pushover".

The problem with the whole "britain's youth won't fight schtick" is it's just the Oxford union debate from the 30s again and lo and behold when push came to shove the youth of the 30s did fight

P
PearlDrinkingMan · February 8, 2024

Right wing politicians always forget that their children may very well end up doing the fighting (and dying) if they can't somehow hide them inside of a conscription-proof career in a thinktank for the prematurely bald. At this point the only way I can harbour any respect for the UK government is if they made the King or at least a Prince or two go to war again. I want to see a second charge of the light brigade where someone unwittingly shows regicide on instagram live, most likely by a Russian bomb signed by Jordan Peterson during that medically induced coma he got there.

Just gonna mention some of the test monkeys symptoms from the neuralink trials because they're (unsurprisingly) revolting and a testament to the folly & cruelty of this entire ordeal: - Random loss of limb control - Constant physical irritation - Bacterial and fungal infections on the brain, sometimes located directly under the neuralink plate assembly - Uncontrollable bouts of shaking - Components breaking off during installation, leading to irritation and infections - Neuralink randomly unscrews itself from the plate assembly days after installation - Partial paralysis - Bloody diarrhoea - Cerebral Edemas

J
J · February 5, 2024

My problem with Neuralink is less the idea of helping disabled people and more that Elon's presence automatically damages the credibility of any enterprise he touches and introduces eugenics inevitably.

b

Not inevitably, they have been pretty open by eugenics and the genes pool of the human race and their hatred for the common man.
