Far From The Gurning Crowd
It's the free one!
We continue to follow the incipient strike wave in Britain now spreading to other industries, and think about how the veil between ourselves and a more livaeble, dignified existence is once again at its thinnest. We also discuss Labour’s manifest inability to rise to the moment… and then we delve into the mountains of madness with an article about how Glastonbury should be replaced with a Ukrainian army recruitment centre.
If you’re looking for a UK strike fund to donate to, here’s one we’ve supported: https://www.rmt.org.uk/about/national-dispute-fund/

I renewed patreon membership after hearing Milo’s burchill bit. 💀
Tellingly, Telling you
The opening bit was trying to bridge the hog to dog pipeline
Love you too
reading her wikipedia article, Julie Burchill is a piece of work
Absolutely one of the most loathsome individuals in the British media ecosystem, despite the stiff competition from the other grotesques that inhabit it. Her continued ability to get work is proof you *can* get by in British media despite your mental maturity being arrested in your sullen teenager phase
I'm here for captain price announcing shit
Oh for the olden days, when an aristo eating a computer was an act of cannibalism.
I would also second that Oasis is way more White than any given punk band. Nothing quite gets the gammon blood pumping than "Some Might Say".
Happily being reminded once again that the aristocracy is dumb as fuck, even with a walled garden around education funding.
TF has done the impossible and made me somewhat thankful for being an American in this episode as I had never heard of Julie Burchill before now. Having read up on her life and doings, I think she is up there as one of the most detestable people. I know there's some sort of unholy force that creates the media class in the UK, but Jesus Christ where do these people come from...
Look up some of her co-writers at the NME if you want to see a real chamber of horrors
Does Riley have monogrammed TF sheets for the big bed where everyone kisses each other?
I'm trying to imagine what it might be like to be off your face on acid at Glastonbury, and then seeing Zelensky's face on the screens
i would vote for matt hancock
for any role, the more trivial the better
