The Taking of Britain 123 ft. Gareth Dennis
It's the free one!
Rail Natter's Gareth Dennis joins the gang to discuss the RMT's strike action. We look at what made striking necessary, what striking does for everyone (not just the strikers!), and - of course - we run down the Mick Lynch daytime TV hit list.
Gareth mentions a strike fund in the episode, which you can access here: https://www.rmt.org.uk/about/national-dispute-fund/

l thought the l0,000 psychers a day was what they kept Biden on to keep him lucid.
Absolutely disgusting that railworkers would go on strike during the summer of morbius
If you can't get Acaster on the pod, just say Milo's out for the week and then do the Acaster bit for the whole show
get Acaster on a Balthazar Speedboat
Please for the love of god just get Acaster on the pod
So I happen to be in Streeting's CLP and dumb enough to tweet under my own name, so they know who I am and whenever he, or any other MP, speaks at CLP they very clearly get briefed about things I have said on Twitter. That is however still not as weird as the last CLP I attended (finally in person) where a) it's clear everyone recognises me and b) his party chair decides to approach me obliquely (starting a conversation with someone I'm talking to), explicitly negs me because I have a reputation for quoting actual political theory at CLP discussions, mostly the stuff which shows third wayism is absolutely pants, and then literally starts quoting policy positions I've tweeted back at me. I can only imagine this is part of their cunning electoral strategy of getting people on the left onside by using the most basic bitch pick-up artist horseshit and assuming I'm dumb enough to be convinced by it.
Shout out to Aberdeen: the WORST town in Scotland fr
It's very funny that the establishment have gotten so used to winning, they've forgotten what it's like to lose and to be owned. So now, they're stumbling around, head bleeding from a perfect left hook placed by the RMT, furious that they can't think of a solid comeback.
Much like Cool Jackets, it is only a matter of time until Alice has 2000 points of Imperial Guard and strong opinions about the upcoming Balance Dataslate
Shocked to discover that she doesn't already, frankly.
Ooh, I always thought it was "Rail Nutter". Never seen it written down before.
