Dinner Date: When Keir Met Julia
For this week's bonus, we discuss the UK ending all COVID testing, the NYT/Serial 'Trojan Horse Affair' podcast making British columnists lose their minds, an update on Roku's hilarious financial peril, and a long rumination on what would happen if Keir Starmer took Julia Fox on a date. We hope you enjoy.

Low stakes gladio in one podcast.
australian getting hyped for TF Live in Aus as if in my pussy mind palace
oh! I just had a big brain flashback. Know what Radar Van reminds me of? Inner City Pressure by Flight of the Conchords
Pandemic switch is my grindr handle
so happy that Riley counter-trolled Milo the same way I would have: by making Free One a tedious homework
Keir Starmer on Sky News this morning says he "welcomes the sanctions on Putin so far but urges the Prime Minister to go further". Putin however has "gone too far". Did Sky interview Milo by mistake? And why was the world's littlest dictator threatening world leaders from the reception desk of a 1980's hotel? Those phones, possible Amstrad spotted.
Keir Starmer x Julia Fox is a Legendary-tier bit goddamn.
The funniest thing about the Sodha piece is that it's just repeating the same narrative they're constantly fighting in the podcast; that it doesn't matter that the letter was fake because they actually found all these misdemeanours and issues. Trying to excise this bogus letter from all these real allegations and the response to the allegations is somehow a bad thing simply because you have the real allegations. It's a nonsense of circular logic where the findings of the investigation justify the reaction to the fake letter which justified the investigation which justified the fake letter etc etc, and all the British media can do in response to criticism is repeat this same bullshit unchanged! Remove the letter and all you have is some malpractice in schools that could have been ameliorated any other way than banning a bunch of people from education for life and running down their successful schools
This is probably the stupidest episode you've done
Fuck, I was in public as I listened to this and had to stop when Keir said "goblin mode" to not look like an insane person
listening to this segment in public sent *me* into goblin mode
The thing about Milo's "A wizard will fix it" bit is that a wizard did show up to fix things, and the conservative establishment media spent five years calling him an Antisemite Maoist Putinite who was going to use his jam powers to nationalise your Nan.
I really find it interesting how much the British find it unfair to look into anything at all. Like brian and hamza ask some of the most basic questions and you'd think they just pulled out a gun and laid it on the table. It was pretty funny how they would give someone pushback and you could basically hear the other person start sweating.
Death by 1000 Quibs.
Need the shirt: I want to emphasize how little any of this is in the notes.
reference to the good casino royale status: noticed
Keir Starmer perving on Julia Fox in the cupboard, texting her about he'd like go to further.
To the new hogs who subscribed after a thoughtful interview about a serious subject on THE FREE ONE, this was not an aberration. Not only do we welcome it, but we would ask that it go further.
I could hear the tears of laughter from Hussein *chefs kiss* what a treat
Keir voice saying how Julia wants to avoid to be seen as going goblin mode has ended me lmao!
“I mean look at this fucking place; slaves, cotton, sugar... This country is nothing but off-shore laundering for turning evil into hard currency... And now it just lies here, living off its capital sucking in immigrants to turn it and stop it getting bed sores." Logan Roy on Britain 🇬🇧
The aspect of the 'testing can't go on forever' beef that really boils my piss is the centrists claiming that the focus on it is 'misinformation'. He said it in the context of attacking Johnson, so quoting it is taking it out of context. As if the rest of the speech was a scathing hard-line triumph.
In which Riley constructs a giant Victorian cast iron gasometer outside of Milo's house.
the rumination we didn’t know we all needed. did Milo get his fritzl reference or will we have to wait until next year?
