Trashfuture (Re)Wrapped feat. Dan Boeckner
It's the free one!
Dan returns for another look at Spotify - in the last year have they paid artists more, or have they channeled excess profits into an investment in AI defence technology “for the defense of democracies” whatever that means. Also, a startup and a truly astounding article.

Being a whistleblower and getting corporate murdered by a remotely driven car is a plot point in Upload, the dystopian capitalist afterlife sitcom by Greg Daniels. It's about there being a digital afterlife with microtransactions.
Spotify using machine learning to distinguish weddings from terrorist training camps based on playlists so that someone three countries away can launch a drone attack for two dollars a day.
Alice is right, Netflix's Cowboy Bebop is terrible.
They didn't get the aesthetic anywhere near close or the general feeling. They should have just done an excellent remastering. Also Hologractor! What! Lmao!
adding James Acaster to the arsenal for his "let's CRACK ON!!" is pure comedic genius deployed @ Riley trying to stop an impression bit
Sadly, Alice is collateral damage in the bit. Hussein is going to have to step up and find a bit that annoys Milo, then Riley will have to find a bit that annoys Hussein. Like that all the bits cancel each other out, with one extra bit going towards annoying Riley. This is what the hogs want.
was waiting for someone to joke about the battlefield Clippy confusing a battlefield/kinetic scenario with shitting. "It seems like you're having a battle" or "turning someone into red mist" or "informational advantage"
*Bernie Sanders voice* The millionaires and the billionaires are not the only ones who should have access to Milo impersonating me and talking about eating pussy. Thank you.
you thought reinventing the bus was cool, well this weeks start up has reinvented the taxi just mind boggling how we're suppose to take this shit seriously
Y'all left out the space after feat. again lul
ITS THE FREEEEE ONEEEE HE'S BACK BAYBEEE
The reason tech-people are all-in on the "creator economy" is because we're incredibly gullible, easily bored, and have remarkably short memories. I brought the idea of remote-driven cars up with other software devs and almost every one of them fell into one of two camps: "It's really cool to see technology pushing its limits!" and "It's an interesting problem, I guess. Not sure I'd willing ride in one of those, though..." Not one, "Wait, weren't the cars just supposed to be self-driving?" I leave the task of determining which of those groups actually writes decent unit tests as an exercise for the reader.
cars should be forbidden
What happens when you hit a neural network with a hammer? Also, spoilers for the article at the end, columnist talks about a Facebook support group they found called "Losing Lionel" for adoptive parents who had to euthanize a child because they would often gore their hemophiliac husband.
Yayy what a gift, released like 3 hours before I went to bed. Thank you <3
I had a few weeks, blessed time, before i worked out that bitcoin people were not also doing a bit and laughing about what a terrible idea the modern money economy is, that they all really thought you could build a currency on top of a market that is also built on the currency. They have not stopped, and this ape bullshit is the latest reminder
You all know the old saying: if all you have is a Hologractor, everything looks like a line of schoolchildren at a crosswalk.
Clearly, Brent Butt's writing staff from "Corner Gas" are behind the Bored Ape cartoons.
