The Shape of Things To Come feat. Seamus Malekafzali
It's the free one!
Riley, Milo, and Alice are joined by our friend Séamus Malekafzali (@seamus_malek) for a Neom Status update. With the rollicking success of The Line leaving every industry the world over revolutionised forever, Saudi has added yet another dimension to the shape of innovation. But first, a reflection on the growth and role of vigilantism in the US and U.K., and a look at the dreams versus the reality of electric car producers who promise to change the world but still haven’t really made any… cars.

Per car Nikola is the most valuable, then again you cant divide by zero
What if Vivian Rook equals Rivian Vook? Really makes you think
To be clear, there were luxury cars before the model T, for rich people made by rich people, like the benz patent….
They are going to build the Big Shell from MGS2 that was literally a fucking octagon
JOIN ME, MR PLISKEN, ON THE OCTAGON
Alice is baby
I honestly await the day that SA just build Midgar, and they do it before Amazon does it.
Something Awful or Socialist Alternative? (I know you meant Saudi Arabia)
It will be extraordinarily hilarious if one day, future archologists are taken for a ride when they unearth the ruins of every failed gulf state play pen, and mistake it for something way more than what it is. Just imagining finding the ruins of Neom and thinking it was actually good without the context of Dior-belted failsons. Let's face it, pretty much any gulf state city could easily be the setting for any dogshit AAA game.
Look, all you gotta do is build two vast and trunkless legs¹ in the desert, put a big sneering head by them, and everyone will think your empire was once mighty. Saves you a fortune on torsos. [1] What might be a good collective name for the Neom Bay and mountain drilling construction
I love to listen to a podcast about finance and industry where some of the hosts don't have a good handle on economies of scale and assembly line production. "can you imagine that retrofitting a 2CV with a completely new drivetrain is more expensive than a new Peugeot?" well yeah
Mark Wahlberg in Saudi Arabia tries to stop 9/11 just by berating the hijackers with his Boston accent, not even punching them but angrily threatening to.
Pretty sure all of these cities are being designed by someone who desperately wants to impress Matt Hancock.
Mark Walhberg in: Southie Arabia
The excerpts from the Bobby Peston book are going to have me shouting like Milo.
Cheap new electric car for the European market: Dacia Spring. Is it good? It's cheap. 0-60: yes. Anyway, I'm really excited about the Pompeii remake.
Hang on, okay, we really need to get the techbros to stop reading Snow Crash, or at least realise /it's a dystopia/. The Metaverse is literally lifted from it. The Line, being a city along a single axis of public transportation for literally no reason, is basically just the Street but missing the bit where the inspiration existed in VR where distance doesn't matter. Floating megastructure where people live and work? I could see the semblance to the Raft... argh...
''' It seems that a number of Rife's programmers, the people who made his systems run, got together and formed a union-unheard of, for hackers-and filed a suit against Rife, claiming that he had placed audio and video bugs in their homes, in fact placed all of them under twenty-four-hour surveillance, and harassed and threatened some programmers who were making what he called "unacceptable lifestyle choices. ''' --Snow Crash, Chapter 13 Yeah, l don't think they think it's a dystopia.
*free one voice* Young Seamus is in the mothafuckin stuuuuuuuuuuuu
