The Populists Made Me a Computer: TF Reviews 'Years & Years Episode 5' feat. Devon
It's time for episode 5 of the series we're un-affectionately calling Lib Dem Children of Men. That's right, it's Russell T Davies' populism dystopia 'Years & Years,' and we've brought on Devon from Da Youtube Zone and the Kill James Bond podcast to discuss.

Funny thing is after this CRUNCHYROLL DID swallow and destroy another streaming service, Funimation
"russia would never openely invade ukraine" good prediction milo
God damn it, I can't believe Years and Years was actually right about even one(1) single thing. Invading Ukraine was just clownshoes enough for Russell T. Davies to imagine. (I assume it went better for Russia in the show)
Aww fuck I had a great combination pizza hut and taco bell joke yesterday.
Next (and last) Years and Years Review when?
Do English people say Merry Christmas now? As a child in the US we were always taught you said Happy Christmas
Anyone else calling these episodes "Kinears & rears"? Perhaps the populists were overzealous in redistributing excess butt; however, many a good soul was lost to the siren call of that once glorious badonk.
I hope references to decade old Das Racist ! Become an ongoing thing. That was a great way to introduce the bit !
Yes Utopia is great. Even the US version is good.
That's the reason I was so excited for it. I feels different enough and you might finally get some closure! It's no American Red Dwarf or anything like that at least.
Oh god. There's more.
I want to point out that Russel T Davis already did the Spare Bedroom Law once already. In the Season 4 finale of Doctor Who a spaceship hits London and all the fallout forces all the home counties people to be relocated to spare bedroom slums in the North. It plays out exactly the same as you describe here. He can't even come up with an original hack idea.
Amusingly in that story many of the refugees ended up in Leeds, and Britain also became a police state. lmao. Literally no original ideas!
Escape from New York but shit and expensive.
'poundland Threads' lol get 'em Alice
Thumbs up for Utopia.
