My favorite recent example of AI being forced upon us is when I had to get a new phone and the first time I went to restart it... I held down the POWER BUTTON like a normal person would and it pulled up the fucking AI assistant INSTEAD OF THE POWER MENU. So I asked it one question: How to disable AI assistant? and ofc the answer it gave was wrong too.
If you're on android you can probably turn it off in the default apps menu, but if you can't then you can change which one is default and on mine I replaced it with Firefox Focus (so it literally just opens up the browser)

Motorola has been pissing me off lately. They were pushing AI features more and more and now they've made it so you can't turn it off. Now there is a shitty AI app that will show news headlines when I unlock my phone. Half the time it's in the wrong language and every time it causes my phone to lag horrificly when trying to unlock my phone. The only options seem to be to mute it for a day or 8 hours.

i know there a more pressing issues with education systems everywhere, but personally for some reason nothing makes my blood boil more than the “why don’t they teach kids about taxes in school instead of useless stuff like calculus” type crowd. like just say you want the education system to turn children into mindless worker drones for the machine of capital, it would be much easier.
