I think the hosts missed the actual fear of the far-right man mentioned the claim that migrant gangs are racing men. The bots and influencers stoke the deep seated fear/desire by right wing men of them being raped. It's all very Freudian (derisive).

Really enjoying new dad-brained Nate, who's going to tell his kids that the gregory brothers were the lonely island because he's genuinely forgotten. You can tell that he's not online anymore because he has his arsenal of niche references just like the rest of the crew but they're all over five years old; you have to keep up with the brainrot to stay young, otherwise you make an Achewood reference and instantly enter middle age
And the thing is he's almost certainly much happier for it

Having known a few "functional" addicts who, while they're not politically aligned with Jack, they definitely match his behaviour and attitude, the key difference between him and Graham the Storm is that Jack knows the thing he's addicted to. Graham is deeply unaware or massively in denial about the fact that he's addicted to the right wing slopaganda box, because it gives him a sense of meaning. Failing that, a sense of strong feeling. People have felt their control, their spending power, the fun they can afford to have, the fun they're allowed to have, slip away gradually over the last 15-20 years and some people dove into their phones - as was designed by the social media companies. If you ask a guy like Jack if he's addicted to gak, he'll probably tell you straight up, but his nihilism is a deeply human one; vile and cruel, but ultimately self-destructive and, if you've ever felt the rush of being in a fight, quite understandable. Graham has succumbed to the cold, calculated nihilism of the machine algorithm, and he likely isn't even aware.

AIUI, “auditing” started out in the USA. They call themselves “auditors” because they were claiming to be auditing compliance with the First Amendment. Which meant them getting in the faces of the public, law enforcement, etc., saying controversial things in the hope of inciting a violent response that they could spin into a “muh free speech”/ “so much for the tolerant left” narrative.
