Exiting the Warwick Cathedral
UK newspapers are desperate to convince you that the future of politics in the country is a weird 19-year-old Reform council leader in Warwick. It doesn't matter that Warwick doesn't have a cathedral (it's just a big church! it's not the same thing!) and none of the upstart right-wing politicians want to address the actual quality of life issues. The issue is, as always, wokeness. Also, we talk about recent (bad; transphobic) developments at Stonewall and the weird freak wizard lady who always shows up for some reason.

Publix is a regional chain that doesn't exist north of the Mason-Dixon line
Send a photo of me in cybergoth attire. The Starbucks AI "wow you're really giving that cyberpunk post-apocalyptic grunge look gonk why don't we mix in five pumps of motor oil and two pumps of diesel in your iced coffee"

27:25 - "... [The] ten pledges were unit 0, the goals were unit 1, and then unit 2 through the production line was the pillars, the benchmarks, and I think the key performance measurements." (an unusually large gaggle of Lycra-clad bikers ride past the TF studio playing the Evangelion theme song on their bike horns)
I love when journalists are forced to do their job against their own will by virtue of everyone outside their office going like "hey uhh what's up with that??"
they're performing a very powerful political ju-jitsu move where they use their opponent's strength against their own membership
Waiting on Labour to announce their support for the morning after pill automated balls and strikes system
What’s funny is there are no Publix or Kroger in NYC either. The national chains, apart from Whole Foods and the Germans (Aldi, Lidl, TJ’s), avoid the city because the logistics are completely different than for enormous suburban super centers. What that also means is the normal grocery stores that do exist are owned by a local evil Republican billionaire
You're saying 'evil Republican billionaire' but what I'm seeing is 'local'. Peculiar local conditions requiring local knowledge and arrangements. Are you saying there's a chance they can Singapore it, that is, engineer a state-owned alternative that is a net revenue earner quite apart from the social benefits?
Please tell me the bear platform lights up and does jingles.
i mean tbh to starmer, literally everyone across media said it was a good idea to hire mandelson, i don’t know where you got the idea that everyone said it was wrong? just sound cringe like
You're on the TF patreon and aren't aware the "media" is the opinions of like 5 billionaires?
Is it just me or does anyone else hear a high pitched ring when Hussain is talking? Like seriously this isn’t the first episode I’ve heard it on.
Evil child mayor with a teddy bear is a great twilight zone episode about the dangers of vesting municipal power into stuffed animals. So poignant when the bear sends all the woke adults to the cornfield

Pardon the lotsawords-ing. Maybe I'm out of touch regarding this field of culture, but if I were to fashionably coordinate my fast food and coffees with my outfit, for some reason: 1) This is presumably an expression of *me* that I'm trying to do through fashion-esque action, and asking merely another human being about what I should be doing would be a kind of surrender to the idea that I don't have a "me" to express, nevermind asking the Confident Lies Told Arbitrarily Machine; 2) As someone who likes a garish shirt, I'm not doing mystery drinks/food based on what I'm wearing unless you pay me to do so. Even if it wasn't the CLTA Machine, I'm not going to order a mango-blueberry-macha-pequino-chino-grande just for the fashion, when I'd normally be eating something cocoa'd, caramel'd or vanilla'd individually; 3) There's an obvious approach to this that not only can this technology not really help with in the way its being implemented, but is downstream of trends that we keep seeing over and over again: remember the Stanley Cup obsession? Why wouldn't I just get outfit-coordinated lunchboxes and thermoses/cup covers instead, something that evidently has people ravenously begging for such things? ...you know, I get that the economy and society and environment are crumbling because of this, but the understated grand consequence of all this is that I'm being pushed to think about fundamentally stupid and/or inane concepts constantly, and the people responsible will go about their lives glibly whilst I'm rendered biologically inert from pondering "Why would I want "AI"-powered sandwich visualisers installed at the cafe with a fixed menu?" too many times.
44:45 - White emigration to Manchuria was the most radical and the home turf for the Russian Fascist Party, so that tracks
Warm words for JK Rowling include: the place she will goes after she dies
“Evil child mayor who brings teddy to work” feels like a short lived Nickelodeon cartoon from 1997.
Guess the Starbucks ChatGPT is showing that AI is actually in the pocket of Big Dom. Maybe TF's next business venture should be partnering with Liz Truss to release an AI powered necklace to tell you what choices to make throughout the day.

Lots of corrections to this episode, so I'll add that under U.S. tax law political contributions are generally not deductible expenses. This is not tax advice.

Real misread on Starbucks, it’s increasingly unpopular in the parts of the US where people have pronouns, it’s basically red state/suburban coffee or what high schoolers drink
tbf i think they're riffing on the popular stereotype about Starbuckses rather than the reality
haven’t even started yet, but here for the nuneaton hate
"After we let all the canaries die I'm suddenly worried about my own risk of gas"
"We support gay war crimes" is the t-shirt I am too much of a coward to wear.
Putting on my big Deloitte branded rainbow foam finger that says, “We support gay war crimes.”
His recollection of his test scores in high school is like that of a man twice his age!
Nun eatin'? Is that a place or a Paul Verhoeven movie?
Oh shit Mr Bear Mayor is from Nuneaton, that explains everything (I went to school there, the main landmark is a big landfill)
You know, a fair number of taxidermied animals were treated with arsenic to stop decay back in the day, so things could get really weird.

Warwick Cathedral is a great place to stock up on holy water before heading to the Vampire Castle.
Yeah, but the villagers around it all keep on spouting cryptic clues, outright lies, and mistranslations from the original Japanese. You'll never figure that out unless your friend has an uncle that works for Nintendo.
As I said last week, the Kitty Genovese story as reported by the New York Times, and as popularly told, is false. The New York Times lied to paint the working people of New York as degenerate and heartless. They repeated this lie in the 21st century when they printed a retrospective. The truth is that, while nobody physically confronted her attacker, the neighbors did confront and scare him off during his first attack, and dozens of people called the police (who had plenty of time to show up and never did). This is one of the core myths of 20th century liberalism, especially liberal intellectuals. Some more examples: Stanley Milgram excluded cases where participants refused to participate in torture, only publishing cases where they did participate; Philip Zimbardo directed the student prison guards to behave in a certain way (Stanford Prison Experiment); When Prophecy Fails, the cult was prompted to respond the way they did by undercover researchers and then dissolved because nobody believed it; brainwashing was made up to explain American POWs denouncing the Korean War; Exxon paid for research to show that juries were irrational so they could use it while appealing the punitive judgment levied against them for the Valdez disaster. Reevaluate all bourgeois social science, and read Disciplined Minds by Jeff Schmidt
I believe all this stuff was pushed in the late 60s to prove that any kind of collectivism or social responsibility was impossible because we have “proof” people are naturally violent and selfish, a kind of negative social engineering to give everyone elite panic
the problem with being a chud is that you eventually run out of other people's woke - Margaret Thatcher
Honestly, time to do to Stonewall what disabled people routinely do to big disabled persons charities run by non-disabled people. Put them under siege, give them shit at every turn and if they refuse or ignore us, we go for the jugular and force them to dissolve. Stonewall has been that sort of unhelpful charity for a while now.
The ChatGPT Starbucks app is literally just the Nutri-matic Drinks Dispenser from Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy.
In my grandfather's day Quislings waited until the enemy won before they started collaborating and pretending they didn't 90-99% agree with them about who should be annihilated
I transitioned back in the Sonewall era and I never stopped hating them during the brief decade where they pretended to care about trans people and I hate how vindicated I am for doing this.
"Palanqueers" would be a great general epithet for gay and trans people who want to be in, like, corporate boardrooms tbh
"All of these people are looking round for someone to surrender to and nobody's coming" ms. kelly don't try to slip that past us
Christ the Warwick guy looks so hitler youth its not even funny
Getting out the Hitler particle detector, pointing it at him and it immediately fries itself.
"we discuss recent developments at Stonewall" I see we'll be entering The Bad Zone this week
another incredible victory for the NGO industrial complex!! Onwards ever upwards as we more and more parasitically leech off people's suffering!!!!!
Funny that Warwick Reform guy is right across the border from Zarah Sultana’s Coventry South constituency (ah unless there’s another in the way, I forget)
It should do, Coventry South is in the bottom corner of the West Midlands which borders on the Warwick district of Warwickshire
