Collateral Dilbert feat. Ed Zitron

We're joined by recurring guest and friend of the show Ed Zitron to discuss Stargate, the Citrini AI report, and an article about someone's quest to make eternal Scott Adams. For lack of a better word, it is a lot.

Check out Ed's work here!

The blog post on AI looks a lot like Gotham Research reports on : short those positions, get them to panic,... Profit. Same conclusion : the managers who panicked and sold should be fired.

Sweet sweet Nate. You can’t imagine how gullible people are? I live in the United States. Not only are they gullible they are stupid, fearful and angry. My brother once said that drunks are dangerous. As a recovered alcoholic I agree, but lately I’m starting to feel like even “sober” people are dangerous and unpredictable. Gullible? I had to drive through West Texas six times and believe me it’s so much worse.

K
Kate Bradley · February 28, 2026

On the lawyer & accountant but: tenant/homelessness lawyer here. Things I've seen lawyers do that I've never seen ChatGPT do for clients: - Comfort a baby on their knee to give a homeless mum a break while they type out an urgent letter for accommodation for someone who speaks English as a second language. - Take an urgent call from a tenant and get passed over to a landlord who is in the middle of an aggressive illegal eviction to explain that the landlord is committing a crime and persuade them to back off. - Sit with someone experiencing mental health crisis and blend legal advice on housing law with empathy that isn't pre-programmed in. - Actually check in a court claim whether or not case law is real... AI can't replace this. Good prompts to a computer can't replace this. Occasionally we receive what look like AI responses from opponents. We win, because AI... can't do the job.

Everywhere where Ed goes there’s always guys popping up saying he doesn’t know anything and is wrong about everything, but they are never willing to provide specific & sourced examples of how he has been wrong and how it undermines his other claims. I wonder why.

W
Wawawawa · February 28, 2026

The thing is like we have a fully finance-pilled AI correspondent, his name is Patrick Boyle. His takes are every bit as vulgar as Ed's, and not really like, meaningfully different except that they're less detailed and have less profanity. He's alright I think.

Re: The Eternal Dilbert, Maybe it's just me but I've found the phrase "I can't imagine what you're going through, but" to be the "I'm not racist, but" of grief It's not an 'I can't relate to the depths of your pain so out of respect for you and the dead I won't worsen it', it's always 'I understood and loved them more than you did'. If it was done with a physical puppet people would immediately see it for what it is, which is a deep and profound sickness

R
Ronin Fredricson · February 28, 2026

The problem with the bow-tie-wearing vibe of Claude is in large part the name, though. Claude. Way too gay. For Pete they probably gotta rename something like "Walker" or "Gunner". Something an action figure for children would be called. But not GI Joe because Joe is now woke because of infamous Stalinist Biden.

W
Wawawawa · February 28, 2026

But the thing is also like, a clod is an idiot. Like, a clod is defined as a fool, like the MF DOOM soundbyte "they shall all be rendered as powerless clods". Pogue Clod is a really funny like, band or podcast name, but Peetey has no whimsy in his heart and has the mind of a 10 year old (which like same) so he's gonna do some soy shit with it instead.
