On a more serious note, good interview at the end. After reading the article and seeing some of the examples, Baywater reminds me of a forum I read a long time ago, for parents estranged from their (now adult) children. It wasn't trans spesific, but it had the same sort of energy: the unwillingness to see their kids as anything but an extension of themselves, an inability to accept any fault, and how they were now sitting in a toxic black hole of a community. Not everyone who turned up on the site were abusive. The ones who were, stayed. It feels like the same types are floating into Baywater. Commenting before listening, Gregg Stuebe is my congressman and hes a conservative carpetbagger. He's from Sarasota originally and moved to my district which is comprised almost entirely of conservative retirees, orange farmers, and people who moved here post covid. it's hell.
