Policy Proposal: Release a Minotaur Into Canary Wharf feat Dr Eleanor Janega

We speak with friend of the show and returning guest Dr Eleanor Janega about a recent tech newsletter that compared the advent of ChatGPT to the invention of the heavy plow. But we also had to discuss a startup making surveillance-tech vending machines that will aggressively misgender you, and more.

It took me a second to understand the 101 thing, so I'm glad Milo told me I was right

Can confirm vending machines are still alive at at least 2 uk universities. You got to ensure that there is acess to overpriced shit food outside of uni branded cafe hours, otherwise the underpaid overworked staff/ PhD students might venture OUTSIDE and start getting ideas…

I think a minotaur isn't ambitious enough of a thrill. Like you guys said there's only one. How about we bring in the OpenAI guys to build a Wish Granter, tap into the noosphere, and then we can create the Canary Wharf Exclusion Zone? Think of the fits guys!

9:31 I play pub trivia in Seattle, and there's a team I go up against occasionally called "Enumclaw Equestrian Society". It's always fun explaining the joke.

You guys are missing the real legitimate heir to Albion's Mandate of Heaven. One Croatian Man: "I thought this column would be my last job—but a woman with a sword had other ideas"

A rare reference to the origin of the Balthasar Speedboat, a podcast within a podcast about a fictional nonce.

Whatever you do, DO NOT immediately drop what you’re doing and buy yourself a copy of Gengoroh Tagame’s “Cretian Cow”.
