DEADLOCK Podcast #319 (Video)
The first time ever looking at WWF Wrestling Challenge and today we are taking it back to January 12th, 1992. Rumors have been swirling all over the place, even WWF Magazine, about what is going on with Shawn Michaels and Marty Janetty.
The Rockers relationship is a very rocky one indeed. Brutus “The Barber” Beefcake invited both of them to come to The Barbershop and get to the bottom of the drama. Marty thinks that Shawn is only looking out for himself and that they are one of the best teams of all time and need to get back on track. Shawn agrees and they end up hugging. However, Shawn Michaels superkicks Marty Janetty and throws him through The Barbershop glass window! This changes the trajectory of both men and turns Shawn Michaels from a tag team wrestler into a singles superstar! Also, the road to WWF Royal Rumble 1992 is ongoing. The Undertaker, New Foundation, The Bezerker, Jake Roberts, Rowdy Roddy Piper are all in action! The Vacant WWF Championship is on the line in the Royal Rumble match on PPV. Plus, Ric Flair is calling himself the Real World’s Champion and Hulk Hogan wants the title back, but who will be the winner of Royal Rumble?!

The map says WE’RE FUCKED!
The weekend shows were full of advertisements for local house shows. It was how WWF made real money. Those house show/PPV reports also show that you don't need 20 min long in-ring promos to sell a match. 2 minutes in front of a green screen was all you needed.
No RepoMan?
Shawn should've hit him with a chair and then 10 years later hit him with anotha chair Just like it and on commentary they should've said of my god its the Marty chairnetty
THEY FOUND THE LADDER STORE
When the undertaker first debuted, the body bag was his gimmick, and there was a story where he ribbed a guy and had him stand in the body bag for like 30 minutes in the back
oh hell yeAHH
Please come back to New Jersey. I missed the last show and I am fiending for some DPW.
They should have done a gimmick with The Miz when he debuted where he calls himself the 'Real World' champ, then he gets his ass beat by the actual world champion every week and never realizes why.
Boys I cannot stress enough how much you guys have to review the early NWA TNA weekly ppv days. Episode 4 might be the most insane yet.
Coward Marty Janetty... More like Marty Jabroni. YEAH
Just realized after the shout outs Pulse is dressed as Le Rocka
You really need to check out more of the Jake The Snake/Macho Man rivalry from 1992/3. At its peak Jake becomes down right unnerving. Its definitely the best depiction of a sociopath I've ever seen in wrestling. Probably a bit too good as he gets watered down pretty quickly once its over.
That promo when he talks about how he smacks Elizabeth.....I don't know what drugs he was on but it felt real.
I saw this episode when it first happened yes I'm that old shut up it's not funny you guys are mean mooooooom
The Rockers meant something to me, man

The episode where the coward Marty Janetty jumped through a window.
Is there going to be a watch this episode this week?
Guess not 😬
All the drama of the Rockers’ break-up. And then you see Brutus Beefcake and it all kind of falls apart a bit. 😅
Wasn’t that Michaels guy the commissioner in 99??
