Redemption

It's going to be shitty update. We and you guys both know it, because it's only two major new things to add. It's a not pleasant feeling to serve thing, you already know will be bellow expectations. I'm the only one who can be blamed. All the negative comments, real life issues you don't need to be bothered to hear out and time pressure do no good for a creative mood to cook a good content.

Basically we are looking for a way out of this situation, get our shit together and return to delivering good staff you are waiting for.

We just need time to calmly work on new staff/fix existing/balance things and finally prepare for you a good worthy update. So, we are prolonging the counter till the 29 of Jun. Consider it as a remission time, to get back on the rails, feel the power and horny joy of creating adult game. We'll post the news about upcoming additions.

Thank you for your understanding.

PS; Later into the game here I noticed that you're starting to use dangerous parodies. Normally not a big problem, but 'Traker' and 'Elda'? That's Blizzard and Nintendo you are messing with now. They don't take this kind of stuff lightly, and are large enough to shut down Patreon itself, let alone the Simbro Team. Is this the true reason for your recent silence? If you are being swamped with a lawsuit, it would probably be best to come forward now and give some of us patrons some closure.

N
Noriega Hussein · July 13, 2017

This isn't so much about creating or about obligation. This type of content isn't exactly accepted in society and it is also being done as a hobby. Problems will arise particularly unexpected ones. Since Hobbies require no obligation you must understand when things start to go awry elsewhere, these things will be the first thing to lose priority. With that said, there is something to be wondered about when developers start inheriting a lot of capital and they seemingly do nothing with it. You have to respect that there is an attempt to have dialogue with the bloggers here however, and this developer in previous posts hinted at rough times ahead. From a Freudian perspective, this amount of concern is not of the type of person who would just hose people for free money or tolerate piss poor management.

N
Nitura · June 19, 2017

Let's keep in mind that you have been taking REAL money for a while now. If you need to change your goals to hire new or different talent, then do so. But the second you started to take cash this became a business so your personal feelings about being worn out became obsolete. Almost nobody likes to do their job. So either man up and do what you've promised and been PAID to do, or refund the money. It is that simple.

M
Menero · June 20, 2017

Creative minds dont work that way... In fact nobodys mind works like that, the more preasure you put on your employees the worse there performance gets. Stress just kills productivity. There is always that one asshole who just uses this as an excuse to do nothing but usually people will perform much much better if you dont push them too hard. That beeing said i also think that current progress isnt in a good relation to the amount of money taken. I realy do hope they get there shit together and go back to this project with passion. Noone wants a secound breeding Season ending (they collected increadible amounts of money for basically nothing and intentionaly stalled there project to live of patreon as long as possible until they eventualy broke up)

Im only giving a few bucks a month so Im not too worried about delays, as long as you still have a vision for making the game better and you're putting in the effort I'll keep my pledge going.

A
Adugagebe · June 14, 2017

As I find this game to be awesome and I contribute with the minimum pledge, I can only appreciate all the effort put in this fantastic game. Well, I've seen lots of angry comments recently over here, and it's quite interesting for you guys (Simbro Team) to realise that to just acknowledge the problem can tune down the tone. Hence, I would like to suggest you guys not to set a fixed calendar day for further releases. Maybe your development cycle would benefit from setting up a roadmap (long-term, at least bullet points concerning scope of future releases - which you don't need to disclose to avoid passive-agressive supporters) and when starting a cycle, you could set an approximate goal (always > 30 days, never > 90 days). In these terms, you could explore more how you communicate and even raise your budget. For instance, there's another game I pledge here called Space Paws (patreon/taifunriders). You don't need to post as much as they do (I think they post too much), but they participate us with screenshots and etc (I don't see most of them, cause I pledge only enough to download as soon as new releases get published). Even if they take longer, people are being "fed". That said, I still think your game is much better in terms of engagement, and maybe you should explore yours posts the way they do (i.e. limit access of certain posts to higher pledges). I certainly would raise my pledge here, but not there. All the best, cheers.

Oliver · June 14, 2017

Please keep up the great work! I've been a follower of the game through the "legend of krystal" site for over a year now and I love the story so far. Like with any great game, there are delays and setbacks. Take the newest legend of zelda game for example. It had been pushed back several times to get rid of the bugs and smooth things out to near perfection before it was released. I for one, can't wait for the finished product, but at the same time i understand that life happens and there is only so much you can do. On behalf of myself and my friends that play the game as well, "KEEP UP THE GREAT WORK!"

Tyler N · June 14, 2017

Hey, I've been here for a long time, there's always one thing that is bothering me. Countdown timers. This is somewhat counterproductive because you guys are always chasing time instead of releasing juicy polished updates. Speaking of updates, you guys should balance the gameplay now first instead of releasing and adding new content. There are quite a few bugs and glitches from time to time. No pressure on new content, just fix and balance all the existing stuff will be good. I supported you guys for a long time now, i just don't want you guys to fail hard and lose patreons, don't pressure yourself too hard guys. Keep up the good work!!!

J
Javan R · June 13, 2017

You guys just keep going. You guys don't ask for much, and deliver with good updates on a nice schedule. Even if you don't have much to give, monthly updates with lots of communication is greatly appreciated. Keep up the good work!

A
AG3Hero · June 13, 2017

Hey man, Just keep doing what you been doing. I have long supported you and this amazing game, I wont stop now. I don't care about dead lines and count downs, they can be a bit stress full for game makers, like your self. Best advice is take away the count downs, work on the game when you can and keep us updated every so often. You don't need to post a new version every 30 days, only when the new version is read and you feel is worthy of being released. Also, if you feel like you're close to done with the game, cannot find the same spark you once had for it. Then why not end it? By that I mean to get the last part of the girls story done and fix up any remaining bugs, then release it. Maybe it's time to work on something new or just move on. Just don't leave us hanging with the game half done. This is your baby after all, gotta get her all dressed up and ready for prom night! :D

m
moris · June 13, 2017

well simbro, maybe now you'll finally listen? give us an update of things that we actually WANT/ASK ! I've said this multiple times before (as did others) and we even gave you lists of things we are waiting on. you even replied but then ignored it so here we go again...... stop rushing and getting crappy updates out ever 30 days, like bdsm dungeons and half finished rooms/events. I don't care if you take /30/40/50 days to get an update done, just make it a quality update like - finishing events - expanding on alice/julia - expand on rooms (things to do in the bar, brothel, the alley, the bank etc.) - and maybe most importantly, THE STORY ! if you would just this once LISTEN to your patrons.... I hope you realise this cause I wish to see you turn things around, but for now, i'm out.

Many patrons and commenters on here are correct, these countdowns are getting in the way, and we may all be better off if they were out of the picture

M
Mraz Pendragon · June 13, 2017

Or at least have the count down when your 100% sure that it will be ready to go (as in already took care of the issue for that update).

L
LPW · June 13, 2017

WANT A WAY OUT? SIMPLE: (1) Remove the countdown timers. This is the main problem, You do the updates whenever it is finished and polished. not set a frequent release date. You set an update, your team fails to meet the target release date due to technical reasons = ultimate morale killer. (2) Take a week off or even 2 weeks to sort out real life and all other things that are non-game related. Remember great work comes from great creative minds. That's why google offices have so much de-stressing facilities to keep their employees fueled with ideas. Ofc I know you people do not have that amenities so chill down for a bit in your own time. Howabout go to a local swimming pool with the family that would help. (3) Go on a trip for a day or two, and let your creative horny minds fuel the passion. You guys need to go out around and have new sources of ideas for the game. (4) STOP adding more and more stuff. balance everything first that's in the game already. dedicate a week or a month even solely for this. Hope it helps. Thanks you for creating a wonderful game. You guys are doing a great job!

All this crap I'm seeing about people feeling like they're not getting what they deserve, etc... I've funded 3D projects that didn't seem to be going anywhere. 5 months later a friend messages me about 'check this out!" 'Yeah, I funded that for a bit...' Thing is... This isn't a 3D project. This isn't something I need to pour $5 a month into. I could. But I also couldn't. I'm literally giving a dollar a month to this project and I don't feel bad about it in any way. Your updates come as they will, and I feel nothing for the worse about it. Don't let the negativity get to you. Work as you will, don't feel over or even underwhelmed. Just do you. You won't disappoint a good majority of us, however silent we may be. Best wishes, -L EDIT: Ehem, well, I guess I pay $2.50. Not the point. The point is that I know you will deliver content that I will enjoy, when you decide to deliver it. Again, don't let some negative reviews dissuade you too much, aye?

I was going to write a loud comment basically informing all those who wanted to leave, or reduce their funding or drop the game entirely to just do so and not bother telling us so like it was the Maury Povich show. I guess I don't have to . I'm willing to wait. I feel gratified that they have enough respect for their patrons to tell them when a delay is coming.

Hi guys!

xfluffyxomletx · June 12, 2017

I'll give the Simbro "team" one final chance. Basically the last real update we got was on May 11th and that was a month ago. Essentially we are going on to our second month with no update. Not to mention you guys push the date back consistently. It's great that some people have enough money to throw at you with no concern regardless of results, but when I make an investment, I expect what I was promised. Especially when i'm shelling out ten dollars a month on an unfinished product. By current standards, I could have purchased 2 new games at 60 dollars each with the money I have spent on your unfinished game. Please take this time to finish improve your game. You have to decide if you want to keep me as a patron. I really enjoy the game, but I won't throw money away on missed deadlines and bad updates. I will give you until the 29th. If you move back the counter again, I'll unsubscribe. Please don't make me unsubscribe.

A
Anonny Moose · June 12, 2017

A
Andi · June 12, 2017

To be honest, I don't really need monthly updates. Also, pledges are rather donations for the game with some benefits returned than monthly payments for monthly work in my eyes. And finally, the total amount of money you get monthly doesn't measure how much you are supposed to work, but rather how popular the game is, how many people like this game enough to donate some money to make sure it doesn't remain unfinished. The fact that it's still this much after all the screw ups doesn't mean the patreons are exceptionally generous, but rather that the game is still that good. Communication is important, and also realizing what exactly the problem is. You are in the process of figuring that out now, you are also honest about this, which is good. Once you are done with this step, the next one, finding a solution, will probably be easier. I am optimistic about the situation. PS: I suddenly couldn't find my comment anymore, so I'm posting it again. If it's double now, blame Patreon for being a dick to me. =P

What I get out of the Team subject above: Real life issues has pushed game creating stuff in the background. New staff for the creating team is being recruited, note that they are not asking us, he finds them on his own so, no need to spam with suggestions. It is clear that one or more of the team has been swamped/burned out, which can happen to the best of us, and they need to recover their energy and lust for creating at all. They ask for time for this, they are not asking for idea's or game suggestions, they ask for time to recover on their own. Storming them with suggestions might very well have a negative effect, if they even look at it. It would be like kicking a man when he is down, so let him stand up on his own and catch his breath. I've suffered from depressions in my past, they do tend to show up now and then still, so I know what this might be about, can at least relate to it. It's a show of strength to admit it, it takes balls to face the fact and even more so to tell others about it. SimbroTeam, we are here if you need us. Take your time, ask for help when you're ready to, but please keep us in the loop so we won't go through this uncertainty again. The worst thing is not knowing what is going on, that silent wall creates fear and concern.

Is this Alice crying thing going to be in the update?

B
Bucket_Boi · June 12, 2017

I mean, this could easily be resolved with a class action proceeding...just saying. I mean, since most people feel that they have lost money here since this is a time-basis sort-of thing. I get both sides really. I mean, Simbro needs to do a better job of delivering, and we need to be patient. If I had the money, I would support this. I think a good solution is to create a timeline for each update. Set a date for when an update can be made, and fill in each day for what goals will be complete that day. Then, release a daily progress log so we can see how progress is going. That way, there are 0 excuses and (hopefully) 0 complaints. For every day that an update is released late, the Simbro team receives a strike. For every day it is early, one strike is deducted (10 strikes, your out). And guys, forget about play-testing, that's what we're here for! This needs to be a community-wide effort to bring this game to the level we want it. If we work together, users and devs alike, surely we can make this a great game.

Ok, so, do you really want new ideas? Nice. At first, some more customization. A hairdressing place or something to change hair colour and hairstyles. And, how about a new psyschologist office where a female smoking hot psychologust will add and remove traits as "nympho", "lazy,", "kelptoman" and all that stuff? And of course, we could get laid wiht her. And some more options for males would be nice too. I would also like to see more foreplay for female, I mean, male characters fingering her or something. So, playing as female character, you can be fingered by males and playing as male you can finger your girls. When I say fingering, I'm referring to all kind of foreplay that are not only for male (69 would be nice to see). I don't know if i have been very clear, cause my English level is not very good. I'm not native and all that.

This is a good step forward. It takes a lot of courage to come out and be honest to the community like that, so props for that. I am not saying I will come back to support again right away, but this was probably the right thing to do to get back on track. Goodluck!

Imperator · June 12, 2017

Whether it be 30 days or even 365 I would still play this game either way. I just don't want this game to fail for as long as I have supported this.

W
Woldin · June 12, 2017

Sheesh.... Why are people so impatient? Things happen, guys, to everyone, and a lot of it we can't control. They were clearly hoping that things could be sorted out in a few days, which is why they gave us the first timer. Take all the time you need guys. Just keep us posted so we know. :D

J
JC · June 12, 2017

If something happened and it is too rough to make a GOOD update in 30 days... then let the people know that it needs to be longer. As many have said... communication is the key. If it takes you 45 days to give a good update for one reason or another, let the people know. If you need to hire someone as a PR person, I am sure there are many people here that would a small amount of talking to to either volunteer or even take a very small amount of money to simply post a status update for you. Right now the reason people are most upset is that you delay everything with no real reason. I bet that if you were to have someone explaining what was going on, and instead of focusing on releasing an update every 30 days, you focused on a content goal for the next release and work on it till it is done, your fans would love it more.

Had you told us earlier, probably some of us would have stayed longer. I’ve followed you guys since 0.7, and hated to see it end like this. But now the damage is done, and I don’t see many of us returning until you show us something. I truly hope that you’re sincere with this, but until then, you do have to understand our position as either patrons or former patrons.

A
Aleksandr Kuzukov · June 12, 2017

Administrators you can't in the beginning of the month to write, sorry guys, we have a delay, wait until the end of the month, not to feed people every 3 days a new timer?!!!

D
Demon · June 12, 2017

Take your time. Only thing we as the community want is more communication. I will stay as a supporter, but somewhere in the the middle of the mouth provide us a insight of the game or a demo of it so we can spot the mistake you guys make. I'm sorry for all the hate you guys receive. The next update must be big to be honest, you need this update to be big so you can have the continuation support and more. I love you team simbro and please add everything you got into these few weeks. DON'T BE LIKE BREEDING SEASON!

s
shrum · June 12, 2017

I am fine with this as long as we get a good update

j
johanson · June 12, 2017

Hopefully it will not be like Breeding Seasons where a lot of blaming turned on and in actual fact kills the game. I dont mind pledging but an update perhaps 3 to 4 days later will be helpful? My feeling was pretty simple, dont like last minute things. If you're telling me next month will be on 20th July, I am ok. Just dislike the feel the hope being smashed again and again. A major update followed by minor update for subsequent months will be alright. At least not too taxing to your team. But we do like to have update or post of whats going on. As u said there will be two MAJOR updates, better sticking to that direction. Wouldnt like to see it becomes just another empty promise.

K
KozzyO · June 12, 2017

Big time devs do this all the time and they have millions of dollars and thousands of employees getting paid at least 70k a year per employee. Not sure why everyone gets all upset over a small team that has to delay from time to time. 13k/month is not enough to spread around for this to be their full time focus.

R
Rc160 · June 12, 2017

Well the delays have been going on for months now, and I don't think it's just delays. It's also the lack of communication, the promises that weren't fulfilled, the constant bugs, and for me personally, the story that just seems all over the place. Also ever heard of "No man's sky" or "Mighty no. 9?" Yeah people got real upset for those. And as to how much 13k actually is, well that depends on where you live

E
Evilfish · June 12, 2017

You delivered updates on time and always added consistent stuff. So as someone said, shit happens. But keep in mind this won't go away. If it happens again, the credibility and reputation you've gained so far will take a blow, until then you have my support.

Z
ZaTsu · June 12, 2017

Thx! This is a thing we can accept. Should have been earlier though. If you need time to make a worthy release then say so :-) But as Apocrypha is saying... If the release isn't what everyone could expect a shit-storm probably will come your way :-/

I
Icarus Media · June 12, 2017

Ooh bet a major shit-storm comes your way if people aren't happy with the next update, hell probably is already considering the circumstances. I suppose I can observe a little longer, see if everything gets back on track.

M
McSpazz · June 12, 2017

I'd much prefer you guys take your time and get it right than rush yourselves leading to exhaustion and more people pulling out. Fair warning, though...now that you've come forward like this, don't expect such kindness from your audience if it happens again. Best of luck, guys.

B
Bruemeister · June 12, 2017

I'll hold out for the quality. I know a monthly update schedule is hellish. Been down that road. Get it dialed in, then release it when it's really ready. I'd rather not need a can of Raid to play.

M

ok hops that there is lots of good stuff in the update. Keep the good work up and hope it works out for u guys. give your all

W
Wong · June 12, 2017

Tbh, i have been disappointing the past few months, i was considered of stop paying. But every month, i tried to tell myself "shits gonna be okay, this team might get good next update", i waited months by months. Finally, the worse shit happened, it delayed half months, and the fix-update comes a week later, how would it be possible to have a nice update at the beginning of the next month? Its gonna be shitty or its gonna delay again. I was ready to stop the payment next few days, lucky that Simbro have updates us the status and have their promises, ima gonna continue my love in this game and keep my faith in the team. Plz give us something worthy, and keep up the good work you once did :)

Wooow rly glad i stoped supp last month, holy shit with that budget you did nothing for the past 5 months to solve thous delays...

w
waffel · June 12, 2017

look don't give a damn about their budget, look at how much you give and if you receive your moneys worth, if you don't receive your moneys worth stop paying. That we can see how much they earn is really good for transparency, but shouldn't be used against them, the only thing that will lead to is them hiding their income. The only important aspect is "am I getting my moneys worth", and if not... well we all know how to remove our pledge. :) And if you really want to look at people getting shat at by a firm, look at UBISOFT fans and Bethesda fans -_-'
