It is not Simbro that charges you, it is Patreon. So it is up to You to decide wether you want to alter or cancel your pledge to certain creators, Patreon.com is the" money handling middleman" so to speak. Patreon charges for all pledges on all creators at the same time, any questions about when and how can be directed to them, the information is on their site if you bother to look. See that avatar icon of yours on the upper right side? It's on the dark gray task bar. Hover your mouse over it and use the drop down list, for example "Help center" which should take you to the Patreon.com FAQ and costumers support.
hay just let the u know there doing there best. getting over being sick can mess u up and slow things down. I know when I'm sick I cant think at all and others suffer for it so don't hate them there doing the best they can to get the updates fast as they can. and programing takes time.
Because some people are confused and think every person who posted in here is still a current pledge, you're wrong. I was a $10 pledger for a year. In March I lowered that to $1 due to Team Simbro's performance. May was the last month I supported them. Here is my thought on this. I'm going to check on this game frequently because I do enjoy it. I'll monitor it to see how it's doing. IF in 6 months enough content has been added to earn my $1 again, I'll try it out for a month. But right now, I cant see how so many people can still support these guys with this type of work. It's disrespectful to each and every paying Patron.

Trying to figure out why people still pay for the game... I havent given these people a penny and I have access to EVERYTHING people that are paying for get. I can download the free version after the paid version is released, I have all the codes that matter (99% are only useful in the first few days of a new game), and I can see and do EVERYTHING that someone pays for can. Question... Why are people still complaining about the lack there of customer care and STILL paying for something? Take Future Fragments, made by HentaiWriter for example... He came out with a demo, and has since released 2 more demos that are unavailable unless you pay for them. He responds to everything within 2 days, and gives weekly updates on progress. Pay money for a game like that if you want to pay for access to a game,

they're supposed to update the 1st of the months so this is a 12 day delay, and the content does suck cause no one asked or cared about this. the reason people are pissed is because we want story updates or just for them to FINISH what they start. like the strip bar that only has 1 option....and no other purpose.

Most of the month is a "breather". They're clearly only putting a few days worth of work into each update, and they don't start the work until a few days before the update is due. Hence another TWO WEEKS of delays/fixes before any realistic update is presented. It's come down to a money grab, plain and simple. The money they're NOW taking in, (that's sans 200-some subscribers from last month) equates to about a $20/hr job. They're very clearly not doing $20/hr work 40 hours a week. This is minimum wage work part time. 40 hours a MONTH, tops. The absence of any acknowledgement from them is further proof. They'll remain silent until so many people have cancelled and they're not making money anymore, then cancel the game blaming it on us. If we DON'T cancel our subs, well, they just keep makin' money, so the fuck do they care?
Hell, they probably only start to work when they start the count down.
I think a new schedule is needed, if they need a breather and/or want to work on a new game thats cool, i understand that keeping monthly updates would be stressful. So if you do please tell us. But if not and you want to call it quits please tell us as well.

Something is wrong on your end. Multiple delays each month is one thing, however when each update also contains minimal content than there is a problem. Either you guys got lazy or there is some sort of dysfunction behind the scenes. Considering the amount of donations each month, you should have the resources to address either issue.

How about you just make the 15th of the month your new release date because at this point you're trying to play catch up and its not working guys. just carry on but set some realistic goals or some shit. instead of the 1st of the month promise but then two or three delays until its almost half way through the month anyways.

Guys. I'm a long-time supporter (even before DragonFire! :p ). I even started translate the french version. Why did I stop? Because of this. You guys cannot make 5.400 people (who pay!) wait. 13.000$ per month, that's an amount. And it comes from those 5.400 people. When you give a deadline, that's a deadline, that means we're expecting something on this date, if there's any trouble, we wanna be aware of it, but the deadline should be respected, even if the version is kinda bugged! Do we care of bugs? Yes, sure. But we may also care about waiting. Especially when we don't even get a notification about the update... I won't cry or tell you what to do, you already know that, it's just a friendly (and I mean it: friendly! ;) ) reminder of why we're called "patrons". Now, I hope you guys do not delay anymore, or warn us WHY and WHEN we should expect the new version. If you guys actually come back to a good ETA and to some great changes, yeah, I'll be the happiest man on earth. Maybe I'll even start translating to french again! :) Oh and maybe you should get some beta-testers (don't know if you already have some) to actually find out the bugs faster and try fixing them without 'em going public. And it would absolutely help you get some more time if some people make you a synthetized but complete report on the bugs they found + it would create some proximity with the best part of your community: regulars! That argument is quite precise, it could not be said anny better but i don't think they read our comments annylonger because they see our criticism as hate, not as a way for us to help in anny way the development of the game. Pledged at the time, stopped pledging because I had no money at the time but always kept an eye on this to return with an even higher pledge... Not how thing are going... I remember getting an update on what you guys are doing 5-10 days after the new version came out (Like when the mystery room was released) to now getting informed 20 days after a new version was released about ONE new feature, then getting delayed but giving the excuse of "Look but there is more content" (When a year ago you would drop the same if not more content for less than half the money) then getting delayed AGAIN so you can "test the new features" you implemented. Are you actually taking us for fucking retards? How you guys maintain 100€ pledges astonishes me. I REALLY love your game, but you guys are not even fucking trying... Where is Ixfa? Do you even try to communicate with your fan base anymore? Do you even read what they say? Or you just come here to delay, release and cash in on your product and fuck all the people that are paying for you to do this game?... To everyone in this team, if you were working on this project, yet you were being hired and payed by a single man (basically a 9 to 5 legit job), do you really believe that you wouldn't have been thrown out of the fucking door by now? Right everyone I'll tell you what I think, I think that SIMBRO started off loving their creation, I looked back at posts from a year ago and they were releasing on time and answering questions and having a chat with people on here, then more money piled in, the demands got bigger for updates, they lost track of what the original idea of creation was and eventually saw that the game suddenly wasn't their creation anymore, it was a monster that had swallowed their lives, so they claimed sickness or testing or anything just to delay working on it, they kept delaying and delaying with the hope that eventually everyone would leave and they would have the perfect excuse to shut the project down and move onto something else, something that wouldn't become a monster in their lives, constantly demanding of them rather than them making it out of creativity and love for it. I think they're hoping everyone leaves, if they REALLY desired money and more money they would have kept putting everything in, kept making decent updates, kept talking to the patreons, but they don't...ergo I think honestly they've become sick of their baby, their creation become a demanding monster and right now they're doing everything they can to get rid of it, so they want you to leave, they don't respond to complaints because they want you to go. They want to start afresh but this keeps hounding them. That's just what I gather from all this anyway. Discuss?

Last month my laptop died. It took me 5 days to get up and running with a new one but I still met my deadline for my patrons. And I am just one guy. The only explanation is they are either milking it or they are tired of it.

I've supported this game for over a year at $10+ a month but this is it... I'm done supporting a team of developers that dont deserve it. You guys have terrible communication and haven't made a deadline in months. There is no excuse for this to keep happening. At this point if it is your coder who keeps failing to get his work done i would say to get rid of him and scrap the whole game and start fresh with someone who actually can accomplish what they need to. You could still save all the old assets and make the game better from the ground up

Well guess I can't say I expected more from you guys. The quality has been downhill since you guys hit the $5000 mark and it's pretty ridiculous. I've been a patron for a year and have been avoiding unsubscribing but this is the third month in a row you've guys have delayed without any prior update. This is obviously an operation with no intentions of keeping the patron promises and you guys deserve all of the losses in subscriptions you are experiencing. Honestly i think you should post the countdown when the game is READY and make these add-ons like bugfixes with the bugfixes.
I really think you should be more responsive to your patreons. People make comments, ask questions, praise you or criticize you all month and you say nothing. All of a sudden you make a statement at the end of the month delay it and then say nothing again for another month. To be paid $13,000-$15,000 dollars a month I think you need to be more responsive and responsible. This is a quality game I like it but you used to always be on time and put great updates together. You used to reply to your fans now nothing. What the heck is going on really?

It seems a bit funny how just a couple months ago I made a post regarding how your budget is getting bigger but the updates are getting smaller, not released at the end of the month and getting constantly delayed. I got so many angry replys telling me I'm wrong and how great you are at communicating. Here we are though just a few months later and the situation has gotten worse. It really is sad for me to see a project I gave so much money to getting this kind of treatment by the people who supposedly have the most passion for it, it's makers, but I guess I saw that coming. Really wanting to see the team stepping up and finishing the game properly but by this point I highly doubt it.

This delay (5 day delay) could not be something that just came up - u must have seen it comming - and as soon u knew it - tell us . The result will be less disappointed and less angry patreon. Like many on here have stated, I'm happy that I reduced my pledge down to $1 last month. I'm sorry, but the delays, bugs and relatively small updates do not justify any further investment. There is currently 13,000 in support for this game (I realize that this isn't exactly accurate, but it's still quite a bit) and I have a hard time understanding why so little gets done in the course of a month. This situation is starting to remind me of Breeding Season's cash grab prior to shutting their game down all together about a year ago.
I agree, 13,000 is like 8 great paychecks for 160 works hour a month per employee, Yet it feels like there's 4 people barely working 8 hours a week, I'm starting to think this project it WAY overpaid
There was a group (defunct now) that had over 10,000 patrons and were raking in $30,000 a month that would just ignore their patrons. They never informed anyone of a delay. If the update was late, it was late; 2, 3, 5 days, they never even acknowledged that it was late. They didn't even provide a countdown clock. They seemed to not care when 1000 patrons left them on any given month. The next month they would be up again. At least this group has the respect to tell us when a delay is going to happen and roughly how long it will be.
I used to speak in Simbro's defense as well, but point of fact is we have seen a steady decrease of Team to Patrons communication, without much, if any, reason or explanation. Comparing two separate teams might not be the best way to make your point, I can name 5 creators on the top of my head who has less income and more communication, as well as more contents in their game updates. I can also name a lot who doesn't, but what other creators do or do not do is beside the point here. Simbro used to show passion for their game, used to show interest in their patrons, but for the past year this has dropped downwards, without much explanation, if any, and this makes us patrons concerned, the change in behavior, because we invest not only money into this game, but also our time and expectations when playing it. I would hate to have played a game that doesn't get finished, not to say I would like to see a final ending, but at least completion of game goals and then new goals/challenges are made. But as things are progressing, and have been for a long long loong time, is minor stuff added, dragging out the main plots, delays upon delays, weeks to wait for bug fixes.. and smells like the creators stopped caring at all and laugh on the way to their bank. Their last informed Goal was $5000 a month, to hire more help and increase productivity/quality of the game. For the past year the patron donations has been 3 times that, but instead of an increase we have seen a decrease of what was promised. So logic would state that the more money they get, the more lazy they become, that is the only conclusion to make when looking at the whole picture without any explanation from the creators. We have no way of knowing if they ran into technical, health or other IRL problems, because we do not get informed any more, which leaves us with only the dry facts, as fears, for what direction this whole project is going. Is it milking a cash cow for as long as possible, or is it a temporary phase until the creators regain their passion for their game and the love for their patrons?
Sorry to have to say this but I think you guys are all being way too petty. Reduce your contributions if you feel you must, it is your right but understand that this group is actually doing something I have not seen in any other group before. They are taking the time to let us know about a delay. They are keeping us informed and for that I am willing to wait an extra 5 days no problem. I have seen so many groups just not respond to any comments
That's not enough, informing us about delays is a standard and should not be praised for. Delaying the game month after month again and again for such a high value project is unaccaptable, even more when you consider how little content they actually add each month and how many bugs there are. There are so many more talented porn game developers on kickstarter like Vortex00, Elena Champion of lust, HentaiWriter and especially Sexums, some of them working as a 1 person studio delivering higher quality content on a far smaller budget and much more of it. Hell even free projects like Peach's Untold Tale (Mario is missing) are more successful, getting updated several times a month sometimes on ZERO budget. Simbro is a great game and I always hoped for it to grow but it seems like the developers completely lost their passion for it and are lacking the PR skills to answer the complaints they recieve with each and every post, living off the patreon money while their livehood providers get more and more frustrated.

I'm a BIG FAN of this game and I have always had a good feeling about it and your work. But frankly , this is getting more and more absurd! To announce a 5 days delay just 2 hours before is not acceptable in any way!!! As DragonFire said... It can be forgiven once or maybe twice, but the past months you have been forgiven for delays a bunch of times by some of us and not by others that have already left the pledge. I have now come to the decision to lower the pledge from $10 to $1 until you step up and get the storyline in order and give us some progress and not just "new" small buggy side stories and constant delays. STEP UP!!! For the money us patreons donate to the project I think we deserve a bit more than what we have been getting the last couple of months! So plz get your shit together and continue to make what is and still could be one of the best Patreon game projects! Enough with the lecturing! ;-) I still have faith in you guys!
Well! Here we go again!! More delays with the updates. Seems like every time you set a date for an update it gets pushed back, I know it is very hard to get everyone working on their projects but please try to keep the updates coming when you say so and not changing it on the day of release.

Dear Simbro Team, please step up your game or I fear you will loose more loyal patrons fast. Some of us have stayed faithful for a long time and endured through all bugs and slow responses, as well as delays and the drag out of the main plot.. but as this board has shown through the past months.. our patience is wearing thin. Personally I chose to change my support from $10 a month to $1 a month, did this last month, until then my support had been $10 for 13 months, but the amount of work in your end just didn't seam worth it any more. The numbers speak that I am not alone in doing so. The $9 dollars I've saved this way have been put into supporting other creators, who's product is more advanced even though many of them haven't been around as long as you guys have. I still have high hopes for this game of yours, but please start getting yourself together. Last minute announcements like this one today can be forgiven once, maybe even twice.. but when it begins to be the "normal" thing, then people gets so annoyed that forgiveness is replaced with anger.

Maybe my standards are too high but for the amount of money that you get a month I expect more, in both content and communication. The updates are seemingly small which I would imagine could be completed within a week let alone an entire month , without including the delays. You had set a goal of $3000 a month to make this a full time job but the progress does not show it, there is a goal of $4000 a month which meant taking in input from the members which does not seem to be the case and if it is then the lack of communication does now show it. Then there is your highest goal of $5000 which you claim will also 'drastically' improve the performance of game development, this does not seem to be the case either. Looking at the blogspot you have been working on this game for almost 2 years and there does not seem to be any incentive what so ever for finishing this game considering the amount you get every month that this is being 'developed'. As such I will keep a pledge to see the progress over next month and decide if it is worth it anymore.

I keep my promises, shame not everyone does, even if you put it out as it stands now it is still meeting a promise. These are human beings who probably work hard for their cash even if it's just $1 they're giving you. Not moneybags, your amount dropped from $15,000 to $13,000 already. Please stop thinking in terms of cash and remember the start of this project and what it could be. It's about the dream and the cause of creating something beautiful.

Again, you're team needs better communication with your patrons THROUGHOUT the month. If we had known either of these new features were even planned before the last day of the month, then we would be more willing to accept delays. The fact is, this dev team keeps us in radio silence all month and only posts when you are seeking forgiveness for additional delays. I implore you to improve the way you announce your content updates.
