I work for a large video game company (no Jake, not 2K) on the publishing side of things. Leaks are not a marketing tactic. Ever. There are whole teams working on building trailers and planning announcement strategies. When something leaks, there are pretty frantic internal investigations. It's always a catastrophe and a real bummer for the team.

When Jake started talking about the age of switching from Black coffee to sugary/creamy coffee I felt seen lol I used to drink black coffee until about my early to mid-30s and then it started hurting my stomach. I'd like to scale back the sugar at this point but I do feel like it helps to have some creamer now. I don't think I've ever had foamy protein though.

I actually need honest QAA advice. I have a new employee who told me they play RuneScape? And my dumbass response was that’s a good one. I have no idea what it is and I am trying to catch up. They are talented at medicine. And probably the game.

Those guys talking about the Red Dead Redemption 2 and GTA 6 character connection is like "Have you never seen a clip of Game Theory? That's like basic stuff there. Like Matt Pat wouldn't touch that."

I'll maybe play it eventually but tbh I never finished GTA5. Cyberpunk 2077 was much more fun for me (way different but still open world city) but overall big open worlds usually aren't for me. Idk gta massive popularity has always been outside my understanding but I guess its fun to do bad things

Re: crypto conversion, i know some crypto scammers have converted to gift cards as a way to avoid being tracked to a specific bank account but that was with etherium

Jake reminds me of me when I was 18 and awkwardly brought up video games as an art form clumsily at a family gathering. The silence was long. Also, one of my cousins works for Rockstar North in Edinburgh so I’ve had a front row seat to some of their awful employment practices. On a positive note, they say that things are significantly better since the union dispute and the media attention - they’re being a lot fairer than they were. There’s still someway to go and it isn’t perfect but the furore helped the employees.
