Our Life: Happy Anniversary!!! 🎉
It's really been a full year since Our Life: Beginnings & Always launched. I've had a long time to write a message for this occasion, but I'm doing it not many hours before it has to go up, aha. I could never figure out exactly what to say. A lot of Our Life itself came about the same way. I had things I knew I wanted to express and it was hard to know how, so I just started writing what I could and would see what happened.
When developing the project, I wasn't confident that Our Life would mean what it did for me to anyone else. But over this past year the story reached so many more people than I ever would've thought, and it was an experience that meant something to a lot them.
Me and everyone on the team were able to make our players feel welcomed, reassure them when they were worried, calm them when they were stressed, and cheer them up when they were sad. The kind messages, thoughtful feedback, and lovely fanworks that have been sent are more than I could've asked for.
I'll always appreciate that we were given the support to release Our Life on a scale that let the concept of growing up together and being yourself shine the way I hoped it would.
Thank you to everyone who gave it a chance. Our Life wouldn't be what it is without its players and I'm so glad for that. And thanks Cove, for being such a great guy to send out the message that people are valuable just for being who they are.
But of course, it's not over yet! There are still the extra DLC scenes coming, and the voiced name collection for Step 4 is being compiled for release soon. We'll keep doing our best here at GB Patch for as many more years as we can 💕

Happy anniversary! For someone who wasn’t able to experience this kind of childhood irl, it means a lot to have the ability to do so through a game like Our Life! It’s also helped me to remember better days, so that’s a bonus and an additional thank you. From the bottom of my heart. 💚

This game certainly touched the hearts of my girlfriend and I 💕 I was not expecting her to like it as much as I did either but I was pleasantly surprised when she did. OL really gave me an escape when I needed it, and I’m so happy there’s more to come.
I know I've said this before, but from the bottom of my heart, thank you for making Our Life. This game and Cove have gotten me through a lot of difficult times and provided a light at the end of the tunnel for many dark days. I can hardly put into words how much this game means to me. It has helped me affirm parts of my identity I've been insecure about, and learn more about identities I never knew I could belong to. Cove has made me feel safe, and loved, and accepted exactly the way I am, and that means the world to me. I'm super excited for the dlc content, and I already know that I'm going to fall in love with Now and Forever too 🥰
This awesome game means so much to me ;u; I found it when I was in a really uncertain time. Guess 2020 will do that. But it helped me feel heard and like I had a friend. I moved a lot growing up so I never really experienced the "growing up together" thing. But this made me feel so seen and understood. Cove has made a very good and high expectation for people in my life :) And I appreciate being able to figure out what I need from a beautiful visual novel.
