I always have a soft spot for divorced couples that obviously still hold love for each other but know it can't work out between them

when i still played the first part of OL my mind automatically imagined a scene where Cliff was just checking on cove that was sound asleep in the middle of the night, he smiled at him as he closed the door, turned off the lights in the house and then went to his bedroom... he pulled the tie on his ponytail to let his hair loose, he sighed heavily sitting on his bed with his elbows resting on his knees and after a while he covered his face with his hands, taking a deep breath as he tried to keep it together...because of the new place, the divorce and cove being distant, it really must've beed hard for him :T and i just really wished for an option to hug him someday and tell him he's a good dad and he did great, so when i played this DLC and i saw Cove himself telling this to him i just cried ToT

Thank GOODNESS, the past tense in the first screenshot made me think she died! Way to jump to conclusions, ahah;; But I'm happy they're still on good terms!

I can understand how they got together now, and can still be friends, and even stand to share a house for a summer without murder happening. also explains why Cliff has this weird thing about paying little kids he just met to be friends with his son. god! telling Cove about it on the way back from the beach when you're all alone after he tells ya what happened the night you find him on the hill made me wanna cry. course I chose to run away, cause stranger danger!! never trust a strange man offering you money on the street! very first impression of cliff "EEP! Pedobear! hot pedobear, but pedobear" XD

asdfgh the way the two of them describe each other and reminisce is cute, yet bittersweet at the same time. They clearly cared for one another (and obviously still do), but thinking about how badly it ended and the effect it had on Cove adds a sad air to these memories. I love learning more about Cliff and Kyra's relationship though, and I'm glad that, despite the pain and differences that occurred in the past, they've been able to move on from that and worked hard to have a positive relationship with each other for their son. ;v;

Their relationship is so cute, I'm so glad they're able to still have one and look back on their past.❤️

This game and it's characters make me feel s o s o f t I will probably cry at these two for being so wholesome 😭💙

aww I love how even tho they aren't together anymore you can tell they remember fondly their time together :') it's nice seeing divorced parents who still have a good relationship
