Month Beginning Post: August 2026 Plans

Here comes August! ☀️
During this last full month of summer 2026, we’ll be soaking up the sun, building Our Life: Now & Forever, and preparing for the Early Access release this November.
This month’s plans are a little out of the ordinary. GB will be having surgery to heal from an injury she sustained earlier this year. This blog includes an important statement from her regarding that experience and how it will affect development.
A Note from GB
Hey everybody, this is a message from GB!
I have to give a personal update because it will impact the game’s development. First thing, we’re not pushing the early access release back. That is still going to happen this November. However, this will change the release of later content, such as Step 3.
You might’ve seen that I had an arm injury a couple months ago. I’ve only been able to use that arm on and off since. In early August I’m going in for a surgery to strengthen the socket so my arm will stay in place. I’ve only been able to make half as much progress per day, and that’s going to continue. The surgery isn’t risky and isn’t very invasive, but I will have to wait at least six weeks after the surgery until I should finally be able to use that arm normally again.
For that reason, I’ve focused on making sure the rest of the team isn’t delayed on anything and programming Step 2 content. My writing for Step 3 has been significantly less than it would’ve been under normal circumstances. It’s hard to say exactly how much progress will be lost due to this arm injury right now. We’ll see where the S3 script is at when 2027 arrives. I’ll be able to give a better idea of how long it’ll take to finish then.
Thank you to everyone who has been sending me well-wishes! We’ll keep doing our best to continue development on Our Life: Now & Forever.
General Content Plans
In August, the general team will continue working on their projects. Artists will keep on producing the stunning backgrounds you’ve seen on our socials, as well as many, MANY new features for your MC doll. Keep an eye out for these sneak peeks!
Additionally, we’ll be celebrating XOXO Droplet’s birthday at the end of the month. It’ll be turning a whopping NINE years old. Where does the time go?! 🎉
Finally, in terms of GB’s August work, we’ll have a bit of a different schedule. The beta will still be released, and, as mentioned above, the team will continue working as usual. However, GB will be underdoing surgery the first week of this month, and her recovery period may be lengthy.
As she heals, she isn’t sure how much progress she’ll be able to make. She warns that it might be a slow month, so we appreciate your patience and understanding while she heals!
