Month End Post: July 2026 Wrap-Up

Is it hot in here or WHAT?! 🔥It could be the weather, but it’s probably just GB programming at the speed of light. Her keyboard is on fire, and so is development on Our Life: Now and Forever! (In a good way, to be clear.)

Welcome to our end of July 2026 recap blog! I’m here with the team’s “I did that” list, and boy, did they do that.

Monthly Content Summary

Thanks to our fabulous community, we were able to produce enough merch this month to turn a profit. 10% of that was donated to the real life ORCA: The Ocean Research and Conservation Association. They do fabulous work for the US’s oceans, and we’re very grateful to be able to support them. (Small note that the in-game ORCA was not based on this organization (or any). We just thought it would be a cute idea to donate to an org with the same name and purpose!)

This month’s beta was released way ahead of schedule! It hit our Patreon and Kickstarter backers about two weeks early.

It included:

• Field Trip Parts 1 & 2

• Added new music track throughout Step 1 & 2

• Added backgrounds that were missing in prior build

• Added new CG

• Fixes to typos/errors from the prior build
  
  

Development Progress

GB continued her extensive programming work this month. This includes a new set of dynamic changing points throughout Step 1. Thanks to this addition, the default dynamic you have with Tamarack and Qiu in Step 2 will be unique to your MC’s personality when the game launches in Early Access this November!

🎵MUSIC NEWS! The final song created for OLNF was placed into the build this month. The song is called “Upset” and it’s a slower, more downbeat track for our emotional moments. You’ll be able to hear it throughout the game, not just in one scene.

Conclusion

Whew. What a rush. I don’t want to freak anyone out, but the (Northern Hemisphere) fall starts in two months. With our early access release coming in November, it’s going to be the best autumn yet!
