Early Access - Shadows Rising - Chapter Seven
Hello,
Bloody council meetings are the bane of my existence in this series. The Horde ones are bad enough with having to fit like ten characters into a scene but now we've got Zanchuli council meetings as well. lol.
I've gotta actually say the word Zanchuli in Chapter 8 and guaranteed, no matter how I say it... I'll be wrong. I instinctively want to pronounce it Zan-Koo-Lee. But I've seen most other people say Zan-Choo-Lee. So i'll go with the latter. And then be corrected in the comments by a bunch of Napoleon Dynamites.
In other news - I only just got round to playing Ghosts of Tsushima. I know that's an odd thing to talk about and has nothing to do with WoW but... it's pretty incredible so far. I put off playing it because I assumed it was another Souls-like game and I really just don't like those kinds of games. I'm sorry. I know everyone else loves them. But I feel like that's the only kind of game the industry makes nowadays and it annoys me. But it turns out Ghosts of Tsushima is basically just Assassins Creed Japan (only better).
Anywho - I'll be off next week so that I can leisurely play Shadowlands. But I am still working to ensure that I can give you lovely peeps early access to Chapter Eight on Friday. To be fair, it's another short one. But otherwise, you'd potentially end up having to wait two weeks for the next video whilst the rest of the viewers would only have to wait 11 days. And that wouldn't be fair at all!
Hope you enjoy the video. Thanks, as always, for your support. And I'll see ya in Fridays post.

oh jeebus, I had not freakin' idea I was writing a wall of text. Sorry! My bad lol
No probs. lol. Yeah; it's difficult to make each vid truly a standalone thing when my content is episodic. So it's cool to hear someone say that they are. I stopped watching The Walking Dead right near the start of... Season 4, I think. Cos it truly did become laughable to me at that point. I felt like they'd repeatedly structured the past few seasons in such a strange way The Midseason finales felt like actual finales whereas the second half of the season would be dull and seemingly just spend the entire time setting up some huge plot point... (see Terminus)... only for that plot point to be completely resolved in the first episode of the following season... (see Terminus). And also it became really dumb with the whole "heres a new character that you're expected to believe made themselves part of the core group in a couple of days... they're definitely not being introduced just we dont have to kill of a main character".
I'm starting to wonder if you're the only one who ever gives any thought to whether your video on any given week is "short" or not. I haven't seen any comments complaining, personally (but you read more of them than me, so don't take my opinion at face value), but I know when I watch, what matters most is finding the chapter to have a good structure, like it's a real chapter and not just a botched snippet. And since you're not making you're following the author's chapter arcs, that always works out well imo. Occasionally there's a cliffhanger-y bit, or something, but it never feels like someone being cheap in tryimg to manipulate me to watch the next episode without giving me any substance. I remember when I was watching The Walking Dead (during its first few seasons, when people thought it was good still) it was always like, the beginning of an episode was dramatic and important, but it got boring almost as fast as the writers could justify it. And then it stayed boring for like 35 minutes until, oh shit, it's the end of an episode, let's make up a fake way for everyone to be almost about to die! (Only to immediately wrap that part at the start of the next episode with little to no meaningful consequences) With your videos it never feels like that. It feels like each chapter is its own little story that to some extent can stand its ground as it is, and simply happens to pay off better if you watch it as a part of the whole. And I like that a lot.
