Question for All...
I appreciate that many folks out there enjoy my channel primarily BECAUSE I don't tend to express opinions but I'm curious to find out whether you guys think I should maybe put this out (or not) as an actual video? If so, it will probably go out tomorrow; ironically as a low effort 'B-Roll footage over the top' video because that's makes it funnier in a way.
Couple of reasons why I wanna make this video personally:
In this new, post AI Slop era that we now live in (and considering some further changes YouTube are making that will inevitably impact faceless channels the most) - I feel its actually quite important to humanise the channel a bit more than I have needed to in the past. So despite being very reserved with my opinions, I think it's time that I bite the bullet and start expressing them more often!
Algorithm friendly video. Method in my madness. #TrustTheButtress / #IKnowWhatImDoing
The only real reason I'm reluctant to make it is:
It's not beyond the realms of possibility that this is addressing a sentiment that isn't actually that widespread (within the wowtube community) OR has already been and gone and I'm too late. So I'll look like a crazy person / loser putting it out. Sometimes I'll see shit on YouTube and forget that everyone else's feed looks different to mine lol. And I just checked the date on that 'Bald-GreenTrousers' video and it was 10 days ago so that's probably like... ancient history now(?)
Anyway - let me know what you think. I am working on the Demon Soul video now. Here's a picture of the progress of that...
…Not a fantastic amount to be fair but I actually took time off which is progress in and of itself. Usually I say I'm taking a break and then I just... don't. I just keep working but... slower.
But I played a whole bunch of Witcher 3 remastered... as well as watched some real stupid shit on Netflix with a bunch of YouTuber Paranormal Investigators called Sam & Colby going to different haunted spots and really just going ham on their reactions to everything. And do you know what? I loved it. Not even ashamed. Couldn't get enough.

I will say: Yes, definitely post it! Cause it's an important thing to speak up about. Now, I can't promise that I will always watch it, because honestly I'm so exhausted by dumb opinions, even when just listening to a sensible person responding to the dumb opinion (fyi, you are the sensible response, not the dumb opinion, just making that clear). But I promise that I will try to watch some of your opinion pieces, should you decide to post them.
It is exhausting. The older I get, the more irritated I find myself when listening to complete and utter bullshit lol. I really only have two personal gripes - bullshit... and disrespect. And the internet has basically been full of both for the past few years.
you are right, it is hard to find good warcraft content. i do love your videos (despite the ai imagery with the older ones) and i do want to share those videos with my warcraft friends but a lot of them are artists or people who really enjoy art. im not sure they would be able to get over that hump of having that eye poison plaguing otherwise wonderful videos. i'll still share around your videos because they are a genuine gem. there are ways to minimize seeing ragebait/ai slop, there are browser extensions and android app mods that disable crap being shoveled into your home page and searches. is doesnt filter out all of it, but a lot of it. take care
That's fair enough. I can't undo the past. I accept anyone's choice and right to hold my mistakes against me forever but I also can't spend the rest of my life beating myself up about it either lol.
Yeah, definitely post it. That's such a WILD take, that there is no WoW content! There's MOUNTAINS of it, plus Bellular, lol. It's definitely a YouTube problem - I'm constantly having to actively search out content from creators that I am actively subscribed to with notifications turned on, whilst simultaneously being bombarded by AI slop. It's horrendous.
I can't speak for every fandom out there but one thing I've always admired about the WoW community, in particular, is that it's bloody FULL of creative people. This really does feel like yet another example of people running with news that wasn't fact-checked at all.
