As a daily cannabis user - sounds like yall don’t need weed flavored weed in your lives. Don’t feel peer pressure to be potheads boys. Love yall
The Osprey always put me out the best, smoothest ride. Helicopters put me to sleep. To be fair though, I don’t know if I ever entered a helicopter without sleep deprivation.
Ok, running behind on listening, apologies, yes “Rooster” IS about Jerry Cantrell’s Dad, that was his nickname because his hair would never lie down. The video where it cuts back and forth between Jerry Cantrell senior out hunting and the guy playing young Jerry in Vietnam on patrol is just excellent. Anyway, great job as always!
For a couple of non-weed gentlemen you made this great fun to listen to
I had a teacher in High School that got a Bronze Star for essentially threatening to shoot down the next US chopper he saw if one didn't come to pick up his wounded guys during the feint the US did into the Au Shau valley during Lam Son, they said they couldn't spare the choppers because of "some general's party in Laos" so they were going to be left in the valley after getting ambushed.
Dammit, Joe! ARVN and the Ferrets is stuck in my head. I imagine they sound something like this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CSqnbmXV6es
LMAO! "This sounds like carbon monoxide poisoning" 🤣🤣
I used to design merch for metal bands. If you want an ARVN and the Ferrets shirt design (I'm thinking something kinda bootleg bart-ish) hmu
THE LEGION DEMANDS IT
Love having Nate on the podcast (I also love the other cohosts). Please tell him to not be self-conscious about his tangents or how much he talks. I love them and everything he brings to each episode. I am also a Hoosier so I understand always being self-conscious about these things but I just want to tell Nate you are doing great. Just be you. Otherwise how else am I supposed to get my tangents about how much Indiana sucks ;)
How dare you say Du Kok Dong (I have no idea how to spell the name, just the way it sounds) and not laugh!
Look, it was hard
Me listening to the beginning of the episode while packing my bong with moonrocks
I want them both to start an episode with a dab once.
I genuinely like the doors.
Is Joe still accepting donation for the Legion for Armenian Refugees?
the program is still on going. We just stopped putting an ad out due to the massive influx of donations so we could work through them. We are still sending monthly stipends out to dozens of families as well as buying things that they need in one-time purchases.
So many tangents! Loved them all!
The discussion of Thai Royalty reminded me of when the ownership of Sheffield Wednesday resulted in a Minutes memorial to the Recently deceased king before a home game at Hillsborough. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=24OwsmuqPLA

I WANT AN ARVN AND THE FERRETS T-SHIRT.
so do i
Lam Son where’d you find this
Well all I want to know is can ARVN and the ferrets do flight of the valkyries on kazoo? This is my question from the legion. I will up my patreon level if I get to hear this.
The co-host has the same laugh as Tucker Carlson
Fun Armenia Fact: Alvin & the Chipmunks was created by Ross Bagdasarian, who is Armenian. Also, the tech he developed for the voices directly influenced modern music production techniques like AutoTune.
Baijiu, in my experience, while providing remarkable hangovers, and stripping the lining of your internal organs.. is also handy as a driveway cleaner. Great for getting stains out!
Oh , this is perfect to follow the Henry Kissinger behind the bastards the series Re-release.
You're probably right that the whole Vietnam War is too big for this show. But I think this episode is a pretty good template going forward. Particularly with the perspective of veterans from America's modern wars looking back on the lessons from fifty years ago that absolutely nobody learned.
Glad Joe's Netherland's weed experience mirrors mine. Ordered something completely random and cheap, ordered my body weight in chicken and fries, watched 12 minutes of German Wheel of Fortune and slept for 12 hours. Best jetlag cure ever.
Damn Nate is back? How does he suffer the shame of being so distant?
The tangents were a bit much for me personally on this one, disrupts the flow of the episode. And my mind can't keep up with the speed at which they are delivered.
By gawd that’s Nate’s music!
starting the year off with a bang, this is one of the best episodes in recent memory, absolute instant classic
I ironically like The Doors. I'm sorry
Me too brother.
I fucking love the tangents.
How can you be a school teacher and not smoke weed? I would be bored as shit.
New year new donk
“Drug Bomb” reminds me of that Onion video where they air-dropped Lil’ Wayne into Central America to win the war on drugs
I’m regret to inform that the “prince with a tramp stamp tattoo” is in fact now the king
God this is top tier banter episode. I love it
It's nice to hear a podcast host pronounce Laos correctly. I'm looking at you Robert Evans.
I love that this is more or less the same kind of Operation that the French would do in the book The Street Without Joy, but worse, and the Americans are like "they'll never see this coming"
Yay Lam
I laughed way too much at this.
Happy 2024 to Joe and the gang!!
Joe learned to pronounce FSB properly again!
FSBae is still funny over on the Gundam series. Happy New YEar everybody!
