I was on a field trip with my students for a college visit. Being a school in the inner city we organize college visits as field trips. We were sharing a bus with another school in our city. My group had to sit in the back. So I’m telling my students to go to the back of the bus. I then hear a student yell “Mister it’s 2026 you can’t say to me that anymore”. It took so much willpower to not laugh at his joke.
Who let Francisco talk to Kanye?
That is an excellent file name btw.
Cannot recommend Enjoy Wrestling enough. I've been to three of their Pittsburgh shows including the most recent one and indie wrestling, especially queer indie wrestling, is incredible
"Armenians make very good wine." FALSE!
joe i really appreciate the CW before the episode
Oh boy another episode I can truma dump on my roommates after I’m done listening 🥰
Hack squats >>>>> leg press
This is the most bug fuck crazy episode yet
God, I finally passed the NREMT-P on the fourth try so your description was a flashback. And I think I was one of the people who said I got where Hong was coming from after failing his exam because I only went slightly less crazy after the third time.
"hitler opposed colonialism" who let this man cook, please, god
Just flew back to your shitty ass hometown. (Meant with all love). This dropped as I barely got thru security yesterday. Thanks Joe n Crew. Gd weddings.
Anyone else struggling to get the image of Santa mowing down people with an AK...
This guy's speech about Hitler is legit the same thing some wacko leftists think about the Soviet Union and Russia to this day, delusional to think that either one of those administrations were really centered on the liberation of the working class
Nurse here, the NCLEX is also similar. Had to wait 2 days for my results and the wait was awful. I was so brain dead during my exam that I kept doing questions in the optional experimental section for 15 minutes before a test proctor told that I can stop the exam and leave 🥴
I found out I passed the medic exam at 5:30am the day after via email and my poor cat had to put up with me hugging her because no one else was awake. Those exams mess with you.
Wait who was talking shit about the hack squat? Fucking WEAK. Leg day is a cross that apparently only half of us bear. Don't neglect the leggies.
I have a podcast (Intervenciones Gringas Podcast) and we did a nine part series on the Banana Wars, more if you count the bonuses. We originally planned for five or six parts but as we researched we realized there's no way you can do Haiti and DR in the same episode, it's a series within a series. Honduras alone had seven invasions (well, six plus a coup done by a hired goon paid mostly in wives). Panama had to get one episode for the formation of the country and the canal project and another for the Guerra del Coto with Costa Rica. Cuba had a racist military occupation followed by two invasions. Nicaragua was occupied longer than Afghanistan. (That was easily the most fun episode to research - Sandino was the best and never got caught by the gringos). We counted La Masacre de los Bananeros in Colombia as part of the period and did an episode about that too, even tho it was technically Colombians killing other Colombians. Mexico got two regular episodes (Pancho Villa, Veracruz) plus a bonus about the border riots. If you ever decide to go for it, I can help big time with sources. more of them are in English than you might expect, with the exception of the Colombia and Costa Rica/Panama episodes it was majority English language sources. I'd be interested to hear your guys' takes running through that time period in American imperialist history
Checking it out. The Reagan + build and intro over a still image of the waffle house logo has legs. Would appreciate tags for language in the episode titles. Gringos like me may not be able to listen at more than .5 speed.
That was a fuckin ride O.O
i do miss liam tho
This puts the Equitorial Guinea Coup episodes from TF in some very disturbing context...
"Carcinization"...All will be crab!!!
Me: man i feel like shit and i'm really having a bad mental health day, i don't know how i could get much lower at the moment. Lions led: releases an episode with a content warning. Me: ah yes, that's how. (clicks play anyways) all joking aside, even when i'm down i really do enjoy the show. keep up the good work guys, much love
On the subject of wrestling Behind the Bastards just put out a six episode series on Vince McMahon… yikes
Never heard of this monster, love to learn
oh fuck, when y'all put out a content warning we are in for a Bad Time
Fun Animal fact- A group of crabs is called a cast.
Also, Prometheus.
Becoming crab boi is carcinization but I like crabification is pretty much the same word
Nurse here for the exam portion. Exact same way, except the minimum question count is 75. If the exam cuts off at 75, you either aced it or failed really badly
The NREMT paramedic test is the same. I think it's the same minimum number of questions.
Just listened to the exam potion of the episode. It's the same way with the social worker exam.
oh boy. you know how bad this must be to get a CW?
Nguema is almost as bad as it can possibly get.
