Hello Joe, I really like listening to your show, you probably noticed that I didn't say "Enjoy" as most of the shows are not enjoiable (accept for the occasional dead Natzi), most of the shows are highly educational and informative. My Name Is Eyal, I am an Israeli guy leaving in Perth (western Australia) for 30 years now. I have served in the Israeli Army as a Tank commander between the years of 1983 and 1986. The Tank i have done most of my service on is the British Centurion that had been modified and upgraded by the Israeli Army. I have spend most of my 3 years in Lebanon. This was a compleetly pointless war that killed close to a 1000 Israeli soldairs and countless civilians because of politician called Arik Sharon. The battalion I have served in is the 188. This battalion is famous for being completly destryoid in the Yom Kippur war (1973), trying to stop the Syrian Army while outnumberd 10 to 1. Would you ever consider doing an episode about the Yom Kippur war in the Golan Hights? This one got all your elements: Stupid politician and Army commander that refused to belive all inteligent reports, soldiras that fought bravely only to die, eppic tanks battles and lots of unanswered questions... I will be happy to share with you all my knowledge about the working of the Centurion tank (in the 70's and 80's), my personal knowledge of the Golan and everything I know about the Yom Kippur war. Keep up the good work. Eyal Angert

Somebody needs to make carnival rides based on this design except maybe a little less deadlier. I wouldn't say completely, it's a carnival ride after all...

The weeb-to-Nazi pipeline makes so much more sense knowing the Third Reich accidentally invented bullet hell games

Re: no pitch and roll authority on the volksjaeger: yes, theoretically, that would mean that the only axis of motion you'd have is the roll axis. And as previously stated, if you did that, you'd choke your engine out and because it glided like a brick with a feather taped to it, *you then crash and die*.

There's actually two good aviation museums at the Chino Airport. I've seen the sad little wood plane, I remember pointing it out to my son and saying "They couldn't build proper jet engines so they built these. They usually killed their pilots, but they were Nazis so that was fine."

How quickly Joe sheds his midwest culture. A frosty jack is the Wendy's walk in. A blizzard jack is the dairy queen one.

Nate's German is actually quite good, especially considering he hasn't spoken it in some time. The other plane Joe mentioned, the one that Germany bought from the US in the Sixties, was the F-104 Starfighter. Germany bought about 900 of them. A third of those crashed, four of them during the rehearsals for the flight show that was intended to unveil those miracles of modern technology to the public.

WTYP did a bonus episode on it recently with Wartakes. It was hilarious (especially the German section).

You know it's bad when this could be 3 different planes , the bachem natter , the he162 or the blohm and Voss 40 which are all dogshit .

J
Jacob Vardy · February 7, 2023

I just looked up the natter. Kinda bad arse. I could see a second or third generation being used as submarine launched intercepters.
