Ok, the Kazoo rendition of our Hymn is pretty funny, ngl. Also, bang on about the Mameluke sword. Was taught that story as gospel during basic and it was reinforced occasionally during my time in the Corps. Later got curious and went digging for the origins of that specific weapon because I was studying historical eastern arms and armor, and found out the truth. I was so mad. Just add it to all the other lies I was told throughout my career. Never saw that reenlistment bonus I was promised, and never got to fight a lava monster when I got my third stripe.
My favorite Boston sports fan interaction would be the time a woman tried to fist fight my older brother, who was tending bar, over him not knowing Ted Williams' batting average. We lived in St. Louis. Also Liam's "Now you say go Bruins." fucking killed me.
Like, lifetime, or the 1941 season?
Enterprise Rent a Car was founded by a WWII vet who served on the Enterprise in the war. As it was named for the Enterprise in this war, Joe, your joke was basically dead on.
The “Great Escape” Black Flag edition?
Liam, just wait until the Jets win a SuperBowl
I hope we get some golden age of piracy stuff. Woodes Rodgers is donkey worthy in my view.
I would love it if Joe dragged tf out of black beard and stede bonnet just to make all the OFMD pirateboos fly into shrieking histrionics.
I want to hear this “so one time I stole a vending machine” story in greater detail.
Did y’all hear about Dick Dale (the Surfer) dying last year?
ARRRGH
Not gonna be that guy but I would really be interested in a Christmas truce ep, like what’s real and what’s myth sorta thing
This “war” has been a rallying call for cryptofascist since the Bin Laden days, a part of the narrative that “America has been at war with Muslims since the beginning”
A decade ago I had to constantly listen to a coworker rambling about it in between him listening to Kilmeade on the back of house radio. Taken any talk of it as a giant red flag since.
thanks for unironically teaching me more about history than the public education system ever did
Aaron burr was actually a pretty cool dude. He was an abolitionist and advocate for women's rights and equality. Also that proto facist piece of shit hamilton had it coming.
The best part is when a Dutch navigator is enslaved and then joins his captors as a pirate and helps lead 2 raids into freakin Iceland from North Africa.
I think there's also a middle class British guy who got nobody to pay his ransom and he isn't fit for manual labor - eventually be became a court jester for a West Sahara lord?
Boats are dumb
That buggol at the beginning was unexpectedly funny.
Pretty sure that wasn’t even a bugle, but a kazoo.
The boat based stupidity continues! Hurray for dumb boats!
OH THE YEAR WAS 1778
HOW I WISH WAS IN SHERBROOKE NOW
