Always good to be back and listening to the 'muh genocide' pod
Using the Headstones for the intro is just 💋
Joe’s comment about Armenia being a landlocked country reminded me of one of those old Radio Yerevan jokes: “Radio Yerevan was asked, ‘why does Armenian SSR have a navy?’ Radio Yerevan answers: for the same reason Azerbaijani SSR has Ministry of Culture”
I'll be honest, Spicer's adventures feel like a complete fever dream. Just everything happens with so little logical connection to what preceded it.
HMS Fifi could just be short for Josephine. They deserve to have a naval academy named after them tho with a wing named for the goat
Boondock Saints 2 is impossibly stupid. The God Awful Movies episode about it does not exaggerate one bit about how shitty it is. Also, Joe’s French accent makes Québécois accents sound acceptable.
In which Spicer invents tactical stolen valor
“War is hell but it’s also inconceivably stupid” could be the secondary motto of this show.
The worksite which gives you PTSD slowly over time.
If you haven’t listened to all the Knowledge Fight episodes about Project Camelot, it is podcasting at its best!
KF is the only podcast I never miss an episode of
Tune in next week when Joe and Liam learn about the little-known Battle of Dickbuttsville
A boat technical is clearly called a technaval. You're slippin', Joe.
The only time i've heard 'Fifi' is as an old-timey dog's name, so that bit kinda tracks
It's pretty much the "generic cinema/comic dog name" in Germany, or alternatively the "unimaginative grandma's dog's name", so yeah he probably continued the cat and dog theme here... (yes I know this is 2026, just thought the context might be nice for someone in the future)
Double happiness, cheers parasocial homie, homie
My uncles nickname is Phiphi. It’s short for Philippe.
Joe be nice to Jutland, I'd argue it was pretty important not because of what happened, but what didn't happen. If the Germans had pulled out a strategic win that would have changed the war. Also, you should do an episode on admiral Beatty and his battlecruisers at Jutland. It's a perfect donkey story and you can keep dunking on the royal navy
2 episodes at once? How orgasmic.
Oh shit two parts at once what a homie I was binging Children of Dune but I guess not anymore.
Okay serious question, are you me?
Thank you joe
