Improperly cooked cassava actually has enough hydrogen cyanide to be lethal! Gotta make sure to soak and boil for sweet varieties or mill, soak, and toast the larger ones.
!YayLiam is always great but i kinda wanted to hear Shocks' horrified reaction to some of the ship stuff.
Idk if this says something good about you or something bad about me but Liam previously suggesting King Leopold's Ghost on WTYP got me to read the book when my sociology professor could not get me to read the book.
Ah, another addition to the list of psychotic British officers!!!
Oof around 1hour-- really not understanding how conservation works in Africa
I was surprised that the Royal Navy didn't like HMS Cat and Dog. Especially since the Royal Navy once field the Gay class patrol boat https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gay-class_patrol_boat . These included HMS Gay Viking, HMS Gay Bruiser. That's along a very long history of calling ships HMS Cockchafer (4 warships and one hired armed gunboat ( https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/HMS_Cockchafer ) . Domestic pet class lake gunboats isn't nearly as extreme as those names.
This is like a mash-up of "Our Flag Means Death" and "Blackadder Goes Forth". Could absolutely see Spicer being played by Hugh Laurie
There needs to be more recognition of what a great line 'It's tough out here for a chimp' is
They didn't even know the half of Alex Jones' lawyer's incompetence at time of recording
it all happened so fast
The allegation that the most pointless battle of WWI doesn’t involve Cadorna or Hotzendorf is a tall one.
That title's wrong - you've already featured Lord Mountbatten.
Now in my head he’s just up on deck singing “Am I more than you bargained for yet…”
Lol nice FLCL reference
A FLCL reference?!🤣🥰
I thought the same thing about our nerdy boi
Love the African military history, excited for this one.
Wilkes was set to come out before this series when we recorded but then something happened and it'll be coming out afterwards as a regular episode
I was gonna say lol Thanks for keeping the content pumping friends
The Wilkes expedition? This a bonus?
