Seems like the Japanese gov't used the John Wayne logic about Native Americans in the Old West that other nations were being greedy with the larger land sizes of their own countries.
Saburo Ienage wrote a very good book about the growing militarism in the Japanese society in the 30's. It's called The Pacific War, 1931-1945: A Critical Perspective on Japan's Role in World War II

This will be another banger of a series. I’ve recommended buddies who dabble in history to check out the Iran-Iraq series and battle of Kursk cause I think those are some of your best. I have a feeling I will be recommending this one as well, although from what I’ve learned about this is mass human suffering and barbaric actions which understandably some people can’t hear or see about.

“G” rates compared to Dan Carlin’s Hardcore History: Super Nova In The East. Great content and info but very hard to stomach. I appreciate Joe doing this. It is less mental torture compared Hardcore History. Another tragic story in history that shouldn’t be forgotten about.
