The name Hohenheim comes from a real person. Theophrastus Bombast von Hohenheim most known by his Latin name Paracelsus. 16th century alchemist and polymath. Basically invented western toxicology. Instrumental in setting the foundations of modern chemistry from its alchemical origins.
My professor of the history of science loved both the historical Hohenheim and the anime. He even looked like anime Hohenheim lol
Hellsing ultimate. Do hellsing ultimate first and then do a special episode watching the abridged series. Or so help me god I will buy an entire pallet of conguitos (the most racist sweet ever made) and throw packets at tom at every single live show. I will move to London and follow him around throwing bags of chocolate at him. Hellsing tom. There’s robots in it.
I for one welcome our new robot overlords.
Let’s absolutely go
I think they should watch Blue Gender at some point
Y'all should check out the 90s Battletech series. Its shlocky and doofy but also poorly aged and only a bakers dozen episodes.
God I love these eps and the next ones so much. Ok i love the whole series but I just love how the characters are written here: instead of being told how smart Mustang is we get to see it in action with his schemes and plans and it all works so great BUT we see his humanity too: sparing Maria, saving Hawkeye and Havoc , etc. So good. I love all the intertwining stories going on as well; Mustang is basically having his own entire anime plot going on beside Ed and Al's and its great. I also adore the scene of them digging the body up in the rain. Its just so well done. Hohenheim fascinates me. He is fed to us so piecemeal mostly from Ed's perspective and I love how even once he shows up he is still so aloof and hard to read. But you get some from his actions: he is distant with people, but he is smart and knows about alchemy and can read his son despite being estranged. I am soooo excited to hear thoughts on more episodes and it be weekly now ahah FMAB is so good There IS a fullmetal alchemist brotherhood film (Star of Milos); its dubiously canon and takes place around the first quarter of the series. Its nothing amazing but may be a fun watch for afterward!
Hey, if y'all want an excuse to cover Bebop, Bamco considers it close enough to mecha to make it into one of the Super Robot Wars crossover games
Thank the gods my October is already looking up.
I’m loving the story of Joe’s Big Fat Armenian Wedding. It should be its own episode with Tom and Nate, and since it’s already happened it’s now technically history.
Lmao I have a trash talk tattoo on my left calf!!
Got it in probably 2009, they came thru Peoria, IL so many times
I feel like you guys ought to know that when someone does alchemy, they "transmute" not "transmutate". 😅 Also, the country is Amestris, not "Amestria".
I think that from how we see Dr. Knox (the guy who did the coroner's report on Maria Ross) later in the series, and how he interacts with Mustang, we ARE just meant to assume that he's covering for Mustang. A few things about FMA are like this, where you aren't told exactly what happened but you could easily assume it.
As a gay fella: like the chest tattoo... if she said "oh it's a birthmark"oh it's a butterfly" you'd buy that
Hohenheim's questions about the hair & eyes shows that he KNOWS shit about alchemy & of the sort of thing the boys tried to do
The legend of Xerxes is the legend of Hermes Thrice Great. A similar one about Hermes' learning geomancy from a stranger named Jibreel
But the smell of burnt bone & burnt HAIR. 🤢
Joe if you can't be bothered with the maintenance required for leg shaving you should consider epilating. It's a lot less maintenance with the tradeoff of being much more painful, at least at first. The trick is to work with the natural hair follicle cycles of dormancy. You shave once and let it grow back in for a few days so that you're only epilating the 1/2 to 1/3 of follicles that are actively growing. After a while you only need to do it about once every 3 weeks for maintenance.
The real answer is always in the comments.
Hell yeah, more episodes! Thanks gents!
Tom, are you getting the symbol of Mexico on your chest because of that one story about an eagle dropping a snake on a gal?
Gotta find a mexico jersey for him with the name being either canelo or guerito
LETS GOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!! WEEKLY ROBOTS!!!!!!!
I love that there was no announcement, y'all just asked and did it. Shit rules.
Joe may not give himself much credit, but he can trip over a low bar without landing on his face.
Highlight of the week seeing this drop!!! Love how excited y’all are about this!! And I’m just waiting for someone to get a Lions led by Donkeys chest piece… cause that could be sick
Thanks for turning me on to FMA. Watched all of Brotherhood in two weeks and it's now my favorite show of all time. God Scar is cool.
