Once again Georgia and Armenia go to war, this time for even dumber reasons than the last as the young republics attempt to figure out how international relations and diplomacy work on the fly.

I was unaware our ethnic history had such a messy period when Georgians and Armenians tried to grab other peoples' ethnic lands or fully eliminate ethnic minorities from political life. That's not how well-meaning neighbors should've act. Both these ethnicities have suffered from colonialistic conquests, so in hindsight it looks really dumb that Georgia tried to grab Abkhazia and Sochi, and Armenia - the Tbilisi area. It was the worst time to decide to backstab each other like that, when they had way more dangerous enemies. I hope knowing about these embarrassing mistakes in the past will help us avoid them in the future.
The weirdest part about the Blizarian-Fine saga was Randy Fine bringing up Blizarian’s Jewish great great grandfather which prompted blizarian to say the Nazis would’ve classified him as Aryan.
About the final remark how many of these post First World War stories are not really military history and don’t fit into the podcast, at least I would absolutely listen to that, probably a lot of other people too
I love these 🙌
