Surprise news, thanks to the creators of Dressmaker!
Hey folks, today I've got kind of a special announcement. As many of you know, the game Dressmaker will release later this month, which I had the opportunity to find in a very early prototype phase. I made a youtube video about how I instantly fell in love with it, and now I'm really looking forward to seeing the game in its final form!
A few months ago, the creators of the game Jonathan and Sabrina reached out to me and asked if id be interested in speaking at an event called Playtopia that their company runs. The event is in Cape Town! I have never traveled that far or spoken about games in a formal setting, so I leaped at the opportunity to head out there in December. I will be bringing my camera along for sure and documenting what I can...I am always excited to learn about what the gaming scene looks like outside of my little bubble in North America, and yes, I will share it all with you guys!
I have been pretty adamant I don't like to do ads or accept anything that would make it seems like a paid endorsement--when I recommend games to people I want them to be completely confident in my integrity and small expertise. So even though I am intending to buy Dressmaker and will probably love the game, always keep in mind that my good opinion of it is now bolstered by my good opinion of the awesome people who made it, as well. So if you're considering buying the game for yourself, I highly recommend trying out the prototype, watching some lets plays, and deciding for yourself if you love the game as much as I do. (As a matter of fact, very soon I will be releasing a video related to being an informed consumer of cute and cozy games!)
Now, for the crazy bit... as soon as I get back from Playtopia in December, I will be immediately boarding a flight to Mexico to join my family for the holidays. This means that I will not have any time to make games or videos in December, which means the deadline for making 12 games in 12 months has moved up! Sooo I have to make 6 games in 3 months
How did I fall so insanely behind? I was sure I was catching up ;_;
Well, in any case, I'm VERY excited for the end of the year. Folks, I don't know how I'm gonna do it, but I'm gonna fricking do it.
Thank you all for your continued support...and here's your sign-off joke! (this one isn't bug related but genuinely made me guffaw when I read it)
For my birthday, my girlfriend dressed up as a nurse and helped me live out my ultimate fantasy: having healthcare

thats so exciting! 6 games in 3 months is so much, good luck!!!
This is super exciting! Also, it’s ok to not hit 12 games in 12 months! Not only are you making high quality games, but you are making videos, attending events, and living your life (which is also your right). I hope the process has still been just as enjoyable as you hoped it would be
We can't wait to welcome you to Cape Town!!sdflkjhlkjh!! We're going to fill up your memory card with so much good stuff!
Wow that’s so exciting! Good luck finishing up the games… sounds like maybe some extra small games are the way to go! How is it already so far through the year?? I’ve been so excited for Dressmaker since you mentioned it and I immediately ran to follow it, I can’t believe it’s coming out so soon
yeah, super small will probably be the way to go. Its still possible, its just gonna be a wee tight haha
That's good I hope everything works out for you. ❤️
