Mermaid Game: Finish Line in Sight!

Hello, hello, everyone! I'm still alive! And so excited to report the progress of the mermaid game. I've had my head down working on it so much that I've forgotten to post updates, sorry about that - but now that there are only a few things left for me to do before I publish, I wanted to let you know~

SO much art was added to the game over the past few days. Every clue, artifact, note, gem, seashell was carefully pixelled in, and the mysterious palace is now fully furnished! Swimming through everything is so fun, I hope everyone will enjoy seeing it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Clues for the library and gardens have been added, meaning those rooms are done, and I have to add the clues in for the chambers and the tower. After that I'm gonna playtest to make sure everything works (although I'm sure I'll miss something, but ideally a player should be able to get from start to finish without running into bugs!)

Then I have to add sound to the game, implement a quick-n-dirty save system, make the title screen and the credits...and I can publish!!!

On the one hand, I'm aware of how severely overscoped this game was (even if I didn't have to deal with the harassers over on my Youtube channel, I doubt this game would have released on time) on the other hand...I am feeling really proud of how big the game is. I believe there's a solid 2 hours of gameplay here, and that's WAY bigger than my previous projects, which you're only really meant to enjoy for a few minutes.
