Awkward Dinner Party: Online Playtest Coming Soon!

Hello lovely folks! It has been a couple of days since posting, I was afk because I had the second of like, 7 dental surgeries planned for this year and they take a lot out of me, but I've got some pretty wonderful news to share~

First off, the illustrations for the first round of Awkward Dinner Party are finally finished, which means it is possible to play the game for one round! I did end up going back over previous portraits to give them a little more personality. It's important that each portrait looks distinct so players can ask important questions about each other during gameplay

only 50 more to go....I really gotta lock in. .·°(T^T)՞°·.

Before I get to the announcement that will probably excite you the most, a little bit of housekeeping:

• The first in-person playtest happening on February 25th is almost full! only 3 spots left. It's so nerve wracking doing an in-person event and worrying that no one will show up, but you guys came through I can't wait to meet some of you in person and play the game together! There is one more in-person playtest happening in early March with Sidequest books and games, I'll share the sign-up sheet when it's ready!

• I just heard back from the director of Keep Massachusetts Beautiful, who is interested in collaborating with me on my Trash Idol game planned for April! We will probably be meeting some time next week where I will pitch the game to them. wish me luck, I will absolutely give you an update afterwards~

there will be an online playtest of Awkward Dinner Party!

I didn't want to announce this until I thought I could figure out a good way to do it, but Awkward Dinner Party is actually playable online via a chatroom like discord. I think I will be creating a temporary discord server to run the game towards the end of February! I hope this allows some people who are not near the Boston area to play the game, in addition to making the print and play version available later on~

I will try to run the game about 6 times, with 4 games available for supporters and 2 for non supporters. Stay tuned for more information about how to sign up, etc!
