Patronichi: The menu is donnneeeee!!!!
At long last, the most complicated part of Patronichi has been made. I love how much I have learned about programming since starting this project just a few days ago! Anyway, now we're on to the fun stuff, and there's a little opportunity here for YOU to contribute something to the game! (only if you want, of course)
Okay, so first, let me show off the menu! users have the ability to create a new patron or modify or delete a previously created one. Watch as I completely eradicate greg from the face of the earth!
Starting tomorrow, I will be making the outfits for all the jobs, and writing out all the events that happen. This means there will be a lot more stuff to see than the same menu haha.
I haven't gone too deeply into events yet, so just a quick rundown: Events are simple stories, associated with your 𝓵𝓲𝓽𝓽𝓵𝓮 𝓯𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪'𝓼 job. So for example, if Greg is a baker, an event having to do with him would be:
"Greg the baker forgot to turn the oven on!" -1 skill
"Greg the baker makes a delicious birthday cake!" +1 sparkle
the two stats that each patron can change are their skill, which affects what they evolve into, and the kingdom's sparkle, an overall prosperity value that triggers certain global effects.
So, what are some jobs that will be in the game? I'm sharing a few more!

I'm hoping this is a neat way to include my supporters and not like, free labor farming...
One last important announcement before I sign off: Starting tomorrow, I'm going back to work, so I will not be able to post as often, but rest assured progress is being made on the game every day!!

Ahhh, this is so cute! I adore the little jokes at the end too. Who knew the hardest part of games (and other coding things I’ve run into) is the UI and menus…
