Deepwater Hideout
The Subterranean Cache
"Underneath the volcanic island near the delta straits lie a hidden lair. With trade routes so close, the cavern provided the perfect base of operations for the stolen Brigantine, Hound's Confidence. It's new undead owners, not a breath of life between them, took up residence in the darkness of the cavern during the day and ventured out under cover of night to loot and plunder the unlucky seafarers that crossed their path.
The speed and ferocity of such attacks has made the region known as "death by darkness", where the only evidence of the event is a sunken ship in shallow waters, stripped of any valuables. As no witnesses have ever been left alive, there's very little understanding of the origin, or where all the plunder has been stored.
If one were to locate the cavern, there would undoubtedly be wealth beyond measure. The shipping lanes are frequented by nearly every seafaring nation. As such, treasures from around the world have been stored within. Even those who have no concern for the sailors lost would have an interest in locating the prizes held within."
