Update: Background Systems
After the 0.4.x update made old saves invalid, we heard everyone's feedback about wanting to keep saves between versions, especially in a game with branching paths. Therefore, one of the things we've been working on for the next version of KoD is to finish every change that could kill saves in the future. We can't guarantee 100% compatibility in versions 0.6.0 and beyond, but we hope to make the overall experience as smooth as possible.
That means working on a wide variety of systems, however. One example is seen in the screenshot above: the equipment and inventory system.
Lots of players have requested more information about item stats, a better inventory, and an easier way to check clothing. We could have put in quick fixes for these, but decided to do one step better: KoD now has a proper system managing all of this information. When you see the system in action, you'll see how it's much easier to use, not to mention less boring visually.
This is only one of the systems we've been working on in the background. Some are boring, like changing the item system so that future additions will be more efficient. But others will result in visible changes you'll appreciate, not to mention a completely new system that will show you one of the main consequences we've been planning for all the decisions you've been making.
Though we'll tweak and improve in the future, likely adding some more visual polish to some of the systems, we intend for the basics to be established for all future versions.
Nobody plays a game for the support systems, though, so we've also been working on the next major installment of content. We want KoD 0.5.0 to be both a complete overhaul and a full chapter of the story. Please look forward to it!

I think you guy's are my favourite lewd game producers in general. I don't know what it is, but whoever writes these updates just sounds professional, and the content that you make is always top quality. Keep up the good work.
Can someone tell me whether or not Hreinn Games have published some sort of "Planned Content" for KoD? I'm not asking for specific features, but fetishes for example. Since Noxian Knights had some stuff ("attending the stables" for example) I'm curious to know what the plans are for KoD. Also, any chance Jadk is getting some love from Sabia in the future? The old guy really deserves it. :/
There is a word there which starts with a 'b' I would avoid using ANYWHERE within Patreon. I would recommend you PM them directly, which is what I did. If I were you I would edit your post slightly.
I started replaying KoD and I realized that the first time that Tyra (mother) appears, the background is still unfinished https://imgur.com/a/nY00mL0
When my kid is born I will tell him to become a writer when he grows up. If he asks me how, just invent a system of fireballs and banana love story that stretches for 50 years and you are good.
wat
This has a name, it's called Writer Disease. You invent a story that will take significant amount of time to write, and then you plan for prequels and sequels, archives of series in the same cosmere that will let you live off with that for your lifetime(look G.R.R.M, Brandon Sanderson, Robert Jordan) Then you begin the so called Milking Process. You spit out a book every 5 to 10 years shielding yourself with unrelenting lack of wisdom required to put together couple of words in your usual manner. Sierra you are a writer, and you are ill.
As long as we don't exactly know what she is working on, i think the safer choice would be to not call her "ill" and instead go with "busy". My personal guess is that Sierra had a lot to do implementing the tech side of things, that should award us inventory systems, more control over our little soon-to-be rebellion, and stable savegames. And fixing every single bug, that will spring up in that process :D
New update post soon?
Any update soon?
could you give us a way to not restard from the beginingwith your game? like a save check or a chapter selection?
select a chapter? It would mean all previous choices was meaningless. And if they need to break saves to improve the game -- it`'s fine. You can start again and refresh all story from the begining. Foe example, when i started a new game, I refresh why Neve dislike Tekrok, some clues about that orc shamans hunt her and more.
@Hreinn_Games hello! Please, add submission and domination to the displayed characteristics so that you can understand what actions affect the characteristics, and which is more developed at the moment.
Thanks for all the hard work and constant effort to improve/tweak the game. this kind of dedication really helps make the game better with each playthrough
Is this game compatible with android?
Sorry, no. Maintaining an Android version while the game is in active development would take time away from the main content.
Hm... if we have already a map and like ready to move on from Groknak tribe, would in 0.5 or 0.6 update something like strategic map and control of our forces? And, if we start to get more and more information about next update, does it mean you are close to release 0.5, or you have much more great work to be done?
Yes, you can expect a bit more control on a higher level in the next version! We try to update everyone periodically, so you can't assume too much about the release date either way. We've finished a lot, but there's more left to do.
Like someone else said, don't sacrifice too much to keep saves compatible. If you feel the need to add something to the previous parts of the game, then by all means do it.
Yes. I need that. Tk u so much
While making saves compatible between versions is a nice thing, for a game in development if you need to break old saves you should do so. (Most) of us will understand that it's part of the process. Better broken old saves than having the game not be what it could have been.
Nice fam. ( ̄へ ̄)👌
Seemingly small things like this actually makes a big difference for me. GTA V's weapon selection reel was great. Had they used something like Fallout's pipboy, that game would be a lot more annoying to play. Plus, this makes the game look a lot more polished and doesn't reek of half-assedness
It definitely looks like you guys are putting in more effort than most content creators in the eroge scene. Keep up the great work!
man that's actually really nice implementation ya got there
hehe it's looks great, please continue the good work
Looking good. Shop and inventory system upgraded. Only the battle system left. *greedy* I quite like all the custom icons you made for the items. It makes the game feel so much more polished.
*prays* Please be submission consequences, please be submission consequences...
Ah, I see you're a man of culture as well.
Yo, that looks nice. ''a completely new system that will show you one of the main consequences we've been planning for all the decisions you've been making'' Ooo, exciting. Can't wait.
