KoD Progress Report: September 16
One of our core goals with KoD is to give players meaningful choices that can lead to a different experience. At the same time, we don't want to make the game a series of branching choices that have nothing in common - that would spread our efforts across many paths and prevent us from doing as extensive of a story as we want.
So far, you've been playing the early stage of the game, where your Sabia's character is being slowly developed. Some choices you've made are discrete and permanent: the catgirls will remember how you treated them, for example. Others are combinations of many choices, like whether you've made Sabia dominant or submissive. These choices and variables have had a small influence so far, but expect the consequences to increase as the game proceeds.
This update marks the first time that we're actually branching the game. Depending on the alliance you finalize, the major event of this update will have four different variants: Rokgrid, Tekrok, Dajrab, and Sabia. It won't be 100% different - we don't want to force players to repeat the entire game to see a decent amount of content - but you'll see more differences than in the past.
For example, there's a sex scenes that occurs only on Tekrok's route. There are some other sex scenes that you may or may not see, depending on the route you choose and who you've befriended so far. Neve fans, don't forget to invite her when you get the chance!
We've given players a while to make dominant or submissive choices, but in time you can expect those variables to have an effect as well. There will be future scenes that only a dominant or submissive Sabia can unlock - and expect gameplay benefits as well.
This update will include a solid number of sex scenes as well as more side content: Sabia's armor, new backgrounds, and three new character bases! Taking the time to do this right does take longer, but we think you'll agree it's worth it when you see the final quality.
You can expect our next update to be the announcement that we've finished our work and given it to testers! Meanwhile, though we will continue to make update posts, patrons can always feel free to check in with us on our Discord channel. Question, I'm curious to know if there will be more bondage involved in this game than there was in the last... bit weird for a question I know, but I'm looking to support this game, but I tend to like have some bondage options in the future as well...
Good question, but hard to answer specifically. More bondage than NN? Yes, most likely. But I can't say if it will strike your fancy and bondage isn't one of the game's central kinks.

Sorry, but you'll have to wait a little longer before seeing Vehlis in full. ;) You can expect a new preview for everyone when the Patreon version comes out, though!

Any hope the option to go naked will be implemented next update? At least around the orc camp, once MC does enough lewd stuff? Waiting for that before playing, since I'd likely want to focus on getting to that level asap.
I'm guessing that the choice during the first tent scene is one way to gain Dom/Sub but does anyone know all the other ways?
You can open up the code and look for yourself but I think one way is in the opening scene where the orcs are about to fuck Sabia, either give the orc one last hit or just submit. I think it gives +/- 2 depending on choice. To open the code, go into the game files and there is a script file you can open with a text editor (like Word) and search for "sub" or "dom"; someone in an earlier Patreon post explained it better than I just did.
Can you give an accurate date or a nearby date atleast? :D

Vehlis is straight into it with no kissing.
So we can expect the new content to drop around the 26th-30th, I'm guessing. 7-10 days for finishing the update plus 3-4 days for testing. Is the two month period between updates going to become a regular thing that we can expect? I know the poll results were clear for longer wait times between updates, but the original vision (as I remember) was monthly. Which is it, or will you shift as your productivity allows?
`This update has a lot of non CG content that had to be done, so it is taking more time to finish. If we are doing updates around only sex scenes and nothing new, it will take only a month to do. We will have less busy updates like that too.
A Tekrok route scene? Oh happy day! That's my main playthrough. Though, good thing I saved at key choices, so I can see the other differences too. Can't wait. So looking forward to the un-blurred version of that shot.

What do you mean by three new character bases?
The character images that appear on the screen. So 3 new character bases are 3 new characters that come to the story, one you already saw in the Vehlis post.
