Donner D1 Review + video/sound downloads
Hi!
Essential D1 is a new drum machine from Donner - a brand most known in synth circles for their acid bass-inspired B1 (though they have a whole line of low-cost keyboards, drums, guitars, and more)
It sells for $300, so it's not cheap. Still, it does pretty well competitively compared to the similarly priced Elektron Model Samples, Circuit Rhythm, and TE KO-II, especially if they fix some of the firmware/workflow issues I found.
All the details are in my video, and attached are video and high-quality audio downloads of the factory patterns and a quick jam with the B1.
All my best,
Ziv (posting ideas for firmware updates on a youtube channel called "Loopop"...)
