A lot of fixes for AI, few other fixes, and a few more upscalers to choose from
Thank you for all the amazing reports you sent me over the last week! My apologies if I didn’t reply, I’m still going through them, but here is the first batch of fixes. I’ll keep fixing, but considering how a single typo really messed up AI in the previous build, I wanted to release a fix for that as soon as possible.
Also, thanks to other reports, I managed to find an old and truly bad mistake related to how CSP was tweaking AI, which should be solved now. And, the issue with “adjust shifting for slow sectors” is solved as well, now adjustment is a lot cleaner, and reads speed limit correctly.
Other notable fixes include:
Windscreens in rain are a lot cleaner;
Editing configs live no longer crashes AC if there are any dynamic textures involved;
“Use interior sounds everywhere” audio tweak is rewritten to better handle recently rewritten audio;
Adaptive V-sync is a lot more cautious, but also, to be extra safe, disabled by default for now;
Old CSP setting presets with orientation-based culling no longer mess up new KN5 loader;
In-game binding controls can use controllers in main menu and such (so you can bind a controller button for Revenant race mode, for example);
FSR: “disable for screenshots” option fixed, a few other upscaling methods to choose from including NVIDIA Image Scaling, FSR2/3, DLSS and Snapdragon GSR (advanced ones only work in single screen rendering for now and require Extra FX, and are somewhat experimental, FSR2/3 in particular seem to be pretty crash for now).
Here is the full list of changes, and here is the new build.
Thanks again, for all the amazing support, and all the incredibly helpful reports! Please keep them coming, I’ll go through all the ones in the queue first thing tomorrow. Hopefully, this will get us a proper stable 0.3 update very soon.
